The Citra Award for Best Adapted Screenplay (Indonesian : Piala Citra untuk Penulis Skenario Adaptasi Terbaik) is an award presented annually at the Indonesian Film Festival since 2006. Together with the Citra Award for Best Original Screenplay, it replaced the integrated Citra Award for Best Screenplay.

In 2019, Gina S. Noer became the first person to win both Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay in the same year for her work on Cemara's Family and Two Blue Stripes . [1]

Sinking of the van der Wijck is a 2013 Indonesian romantic drama film directed by Sunil Soraya and written by Imam Tantowi and Dhony Dirgantoro. Starring Herjunot Ali, Pevita Pearce, and Reza Rahadian, the film based on Hamka's novel, Tenggelamnya Kapal van der Wijck, and released in theaters on 19 December 2013.
