The Citra Award for Best Cinematography (Indonesian : Piala Citra untuk Pengarah Sinematografi Terbaik) is an award presented annually at the Indonesian Film Festival since its inaugural edition in 1955, to honor the achievement in cinematography. Starting in 1979, the award began to introduce nominees.

The Citra Award for Best Original Screenplay is an award presented annually at the Indonesian Film Festival since 2006. Together with the Citra Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, it replaced the integrated Citra Award for Best Screenplay.

The 44th Indonesian Film Festival ceremony, presented by Indonesian Film Board and Ministry of Education, honored the achievement in Indonesian cinema released from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024. The ceremony was held on 20 November 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition, BSD City, Banten.

Batara Goempar is an Indonesian cinematographer. He has received seven Citra Award for Best Cinematography nominations, winning two for Before, Now & Then (2022) and Samsara (2024). For the former, he also received nominations at the Asian Film Awards and Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
