Bianca Cook, also known as Bianca Walkden, is an English taekwondo athlete and Olympian. She is three-times a World champion, twice World Grand Prix champion, four-times a European champion and a double Olympic medallist.

Ismaël Coulibaly is a Malian taekwondo practitioner who mainly fights in the lightweight division. Coulibaly represented Mali at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he competed in the men's 80kg competition. He was Mali's flag bearer for the closing ceremony of the 2016 Olympics. He has also competed in three World Taekwondo Championships, a World Taekwondo Grand Prix and two African Games. He has won multiple World Championship medals and multiple medals in African regional competitions.

The 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula One cars. It was the 66th Formula One World Championship recognised by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. İrem Yaman is a twice world champion Turkish taekwondo athlete competed in the lightweight division, and an amateur kickboxer. In 2021, she retired from the taekwondo.

The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is a taekwondo competition introduced by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic taekwondo tournament. It consists of four competitions per year in each Olympic weight category event. Olympic events occur at approximately half the weight classes as WTF-organised tournaments.

The 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 71st season of Formula One motor racing. Lee Yang is a Taiwanese badminton player. He is the Olympic men's doubles champion, winning the title in 2020 and 2024. With his current partner Wang Chi-lin, they reached a career high as World number 2 in September 2022.

He Jiting is a Chinese badminton player. As a junior player, his best achievements was winning the boys' doubles at the 2015 Asian and World Junior Championships, later won the mixed doubles at the 2016 Asian and World Junior Championships. He was part of the national team that lifted the Tong Yun Kai Cup at the 2019 and 2023 Asia Mixed Team Championships, and at the 2021 Sudirman Cup.

The 2016 World Taekwondo Grand Prix was the 4th edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix. As 2016 was an Olympic year, unlike in 2015, the series consisted of a single Grand Prix Final event, and was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 9 to 10 December 2016. Contests were held over the eight Olympic weight categories, rather than the full sixteen categories employed at World Championships level
