The 2016-2017 Surinamese Cup (Beker van Suriname) is the 20th edition of the cup competition in Surinam. [1] 32 teams from the top 3 leagues in the country will participate. [2]

S.V. Nishan 42

Sport Vereniging Nishan 42 is a Surinamese football club based in Meerzorg. They begin their first season in the Surinamese Hoofdklasse in 2015–16, following promotion from the SVB Eerste Klasse. They won their first Beker van Suriname, Suriname's top cup tournament, during the 2014–15 season. Then they played the President's Cup in 2015 and won it for the first time also.

S.C.S. Randjiet Boys

SCS Randjiet Boys is a Surinamese football club. They play their home games at the 3,500-capacity Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadium in Paramaribo. They were relegated from the Hoofdklasse in 2012–13 and again relegated, from the Eerste Klasse, the following season.

S.V. Transvaal

Sport Vereniging Transvaal is a Surinamese association football club, which currently play in the Topklasse, the top flight of football in Suriname. They play their home games in Paramaribo at André Kamperveen Stadion to a capacity of 7,100.

The season will begin in either October or November 2011, and conclude in July 2012. 2015–16 SVB Hoofdklasse

The 2015–16 Surinamese Hoofdklasse was the 83rd season of the SVB Hoofdklasse, the highest football league competition of Suriname. The season began in November 2015, and finished in June 2016.

Giovanni Waal is a Surinamese footballer playing as a Forward for Inter Moengotapoe in the Hoofdklasse, and for the Suriname national team.

Delano Lloyd Rigters is a former Surinamese International football player who played his entire career in Suriname, playing for Voorwaarts, MVV, Robinhood as well as for the Suriname national team. He spent 16 years with Robinhood, finishing as the league top goal scorer four times. He also helped his club win ten national titles, having made it to the CONCACAF Champions' Cup final on three occasions.

Ronald Wilfried Kolf is a former Surinamese football manager and player who is currently the technical director of the Suriname national team and a board member of Surinamese football club S.V. Leo Victor.

Andy Jozua Atmodimedjo is a Surinamese football manager and former player, who is currently the manager of Inter Moengotapoe. He spent most of his professional playing career with S.V. Robinhood, winning four Hoofdklasse titles. He had previously played for Producers in the Hoofdklasse before joining Robinhood in 1986.

P.V.V. is a Surinamese football club from the capital city Paramaribo, currently playing in the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname.

Arnod Gerrit Niekoop is a former Surinamese football player, referee and board member of the Surinamese Football Association, as well as board member and former chairman of the Surinamese Refereeing Commission.

Leo Schipper was a Surinamese football manager and player who played for NAKS, SV Transvaal, SV Robinhood and the Suriname national team. After his playing career he took on a coaching role with SV Robinhood, becoming manager of the club before passing the torch to Ronald Kolf.

The Parbo Bier Cup is a bi-annual International football(soccer) tournament, which is organized by the Stichting Internationaal Voetbal Suriname (SIVS) of which former Surinamese-Dutch International Stanley Menzo is the chairman. The beer brewery Parbo is the sponsor of the tournament after which it was named.

The 2016–17 Telesur Topklasse is the 84th season of top tier Suriname football league and 1st season of the Topklasse, the highest football league competition of Suriname. The season began in November 2016, and ended in June 2017. Telesur became official broadcaster and sponsor of the Topklasse before the start of this season.

The 2017–18 SVB Cup was the 27th season of the Surinamese Cup. The competition began on 6 January and ended on 30 June 2018.
