2016 Formula D season

The 2016 Formula D season is the thirteenth season of the Formula D Pro Championship series and third season of the Pro2 series. The Pro Championship series began on April 8 at Long Beach and ended on October 8 at Irwindale Speedway with Chris Forsberg winning his third Pro Championship. [1] The Pro2 series began on May 5 at Road Atlanta and ended on October 1 at Wild Horse Motorsports Park with Marc Landreville winning the series. [2]

Homestead–Miami Speedway is a motor racing track located in Homestead, Florida. The track, which has several configurations, has promoted several series of racing, including NASCAR, the IndyCar Series, the IMSA SportsCar Championship series, and the Championship Cup Series.

Formula DRIFT is a United States-based motorsport drifting series. Formula DRIFT was co-founded by Jim Liaw and Ryan Sage in 2003 as a sister company to Slipstream Global Marketing, the same partnership that introduced D1 Grand Prix to the United States. The new entity would solely own, operate and launch the first official drifting series in North America. Formula DRIFT is not associated with the FIA series of formula racing championships.

Christopher Forsberg, is an American Formula D driver from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He competes in the Formula Drift series in his Nissan Z (Z34) for Forsberg Racing, where he is the owner and shop manager. NOS Energy Drink is a primary sponsor and has been a partner since 2004.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Evergreen Speedway</span> Motorsports track in the United States

Evergreen Speedway is an automobile racetrack located within the confines of the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington. The stadium can accommodate up to 7500 spectators in the covered grandstand and an additional 7500 in the uncovered modular grandstands. The layout of the track is unique in that it incorporates an oversized 5/8-mile paved outer oval, a 3/8-mile paved inner oval, a 1/5-mile paved inner oval, a 1/8-mile dragstrip, and the #2 ranked figure-eight track in the United States. The track is the only sanctioned NASCAR track in Washington State. Evergreen Speedway hosts Formula D the third weekend in July every year. Along with NASCAR, the multi-purpose track can be configured to road courses with sanctioned SCCA, USAC, ASA and NSRA events. Under new ownership for the 2011 season and beyond, Evergreen Speedway has become a NASCAR Top Ten Short Track in North America from 2012 though 2016.

Tanner Lee Foust is an American professional racing driver, stunt driver, and television host. He competes in rally, drift, ice racing, time attack, hill climb and rallycross with multiple podium placements, national championships, and world records. He was a co-host of the American version of the motoring television series Top Gear.

The 2009 Formula D season was the sixth season for the Formula D series. The series began April 11 and concluded on October 11. Chris Forsberg took his first series title in a Nissan 350Z; the third season in succession in which a Nissan car had won the championship.

The 2010 Formula D season was the seventh season for the Formula D series. The series began on April 10 on the streets of Long Beach and concluded on October 9 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale after seven events.

The 2013 Formula D season was the tenth season of the Formula D series. The season began on April 12 at Long Beach and ended on October 12 at Irwindale Speedway.

The 2014 Formula D season, officially titled the Formula Drift Pro Championship, was the eleventh season of the Formula D series. The season began on April 4 at Long Beach and ended on October 11 at Irwindale Speedway.

The 2015 Formula D season, officially titled the Formula Drift Pro Championship, was the twelfth season of the Formula D series. The season began on April 10 at Long Beach and ended on October 10 at Irwindale Speedway.

Fredric Aasbø is a professional drifter and stunt driver originally from Siggerud, Norway. He currently competes in the Formula Drift Championship.

Michael Brandon Whiddett also known as "Mad Mike", is a New Zealand drifting racer. He is sponsored by Red Bull. Whiddett has also raced motocross from the age of six and placed second at the New Zealand 1997 Pro junior 85cc Motocross Champs.

The 2017 Formula D season is the fourteenth season of the Formula D Pro Championship series and fourth season of the Pro2 series. The Pro Championship series began on March 31 at Long Beach and ended on October 14 at Irwindale Speedway with Irish driver James Deane winning his first Pro Championship.

The 2018 Formula D season was the fifteenth season of the Formula D series. The season began on April 7 at Long Beach and concluded on October 13 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale after eight events. The series celebrated its 100th championship round at Wall Speedway.
