The 2016–17 Texas–Arlington Mavericks women's basketball team represented the University of Texas at Arlington in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by fourth year head coach Krista Gerlich, played their home games at the College Park Center and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 22–9, 14–4 in Sun Belt play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Sun Belt women's tournament where they lost to Troy. They were invited to the WNIT where they lost to Tulane in the first round.

The UT Arlington Mavericks are the athletic teams that represent the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. The Mavericks currently compete in the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference in 15 varsity sports. The number rose to 15 in the fall of 2017 women's golf began their first season of competition that athletic season.

The 2012–13 Texas–Arlington Mavericks men's basketball team represented the University of Texas at Arlington during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by seventh year head coach Scott Cross, played their home games at the College Park Center and were first year members of the Western Athletic Conference. This was their only season as a member of the WAC as they joined the Sun Belt Conference in July 2013. They finished the season 19–14, 11–7 in WAC play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They advanced to the championship game of the WAC tournament where they lost to New Mexico State. They were invited to the 2013 CIT where they lost in the first round to Oral Roberts.

The Texas–Arlington Mavericks volleyball team, historically one of the most nationally prominent teams on campus, is an NCAA Division I college volleyball team rejoined the Western Athletic Conference in July 2022. Home games are played at College Park Center, located on University of Texas at Arlington's campus in Arlington. The team has appeared in eight AIAW National Tournaments, eight NCAA Tournaments and one National Invitational Volleyball Championship Tournament, collecting 12 regular seasons titles and ten conference tournament titles along the way. The Mavericks are currently in their longest national post-season drought in program history, with the last appearance coming in the 2002 season.

The Ragin' Cajuns are led by seventh-year head coach Garry Brodhead and play all home games at the Cajundome along with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team. They were members in the Sun Belt Conference.

They finished the season 14–18, 10–10 in Sun Belt play to finish seventh place. They lost in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament to Coastal Carolina.

The 2019–20 UT Arlington Mavericks women's basketball team represented the University of Texas at Arlington in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by seventh year head coach Krista Gerlich, played their home games at the College Park Center and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 14–4 in Sun Belt play to finish third. They were invited to the Sun Belt tournament as the fourth seed and beat Texas State 74-50 in the First Round before losing to South Alabama 55-47 in the Quarterfinals.
