The boys' singles of the tournament 2019 BWF World Junior Championships was held from 7 to 13 October 2019. [1] The defending champions is Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand. [2]

She won her first international title in 2010 Indonesia International, and claimed her first Grand Prix title in 2016 Vietnam Open. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to senior prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, having won a 2014 Youth Olympic bronze in 2014. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event, becoming the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics. Ginting was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.

Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa is an Indonesian-born Australian badminton player. Mapasa won a silver medal at the 2013 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team when she represented Indonesia. She officially became an Australian citizen in 2014. She was selected to join the national team compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe.

He Jiting is a Chinese badminton player. As a junior player, his best achievements was winning the boys' doubles at the 2015 Asian and World Junior Championships, later won the mixed doubles at the 2016 Asian and World Junior Championships. He was part of the national team that lifted the Tong Yun Kai Cup at the 2019 and 2023 Asia Mixed Team Championships, and at the 2021 Sudirman Cup.

Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is an Indonesian badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo was also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He is the older brother of Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo.

Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. He's a former World Junior No. 1. Sen is a bronze medalist at the World Championships, a gold medalist at the Thomas Cup, a silver medalist at the Asian Games and a gold and silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games. He has also won bronze medals at the Asia Team and Asia Mixed Team Championships. Sen won the Canada Open and was the runner-up at the All England Open. At the junior level, he has won a gold and silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a bronze medal at World Junior Championships and a gold and bronze medal at Asia Junior Championships.

Kong Hee-yong is a South Korean badminton player. In 2013, she won the mixed team gold at the BWF World Junior Championships. In 2014, Kong who was educated at the Daesung girls' high school competed at the Asian Junior Championships and won the silver medals in the mixed team and doubles event. She also play for the Jeonbuk Bank at the national event, and at the 2017 Japan Open, she became the runner-up in the women's doubles event partnered with Kim Ha-na. Together with Kim So-yeong, she was awarded as the 2019 BWF Most Improved Player of the Year.

Leong Jun Hao is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the boys' singles champion at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships. This achievement was followed by a silver medal at World Junior Championships.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player. He is the current men's singles World Champion as he won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, and a silver medalist at the 2024 Olympic Games. He was also three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is nicknamed the "Three-Game God" because his playing style requires him to play three games long and always win in the end.

Han Yue is a Chinese badminton player. She won the girls' singles title at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships, and the mixed team title at the World Junior Championships. Han was a part of the national team that won the 2019 Tong Yun Kai Cup. Her best achievements in an individual event were becoming the champion at the BWF World Tour Super 300 2018 Syed Modi International and the 2022 Hylo Open.

The 2019 Vietnam Open was a badminton tournament which took place at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 10 to 15 September 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000.

Riko Gunji is a Japanese badminton player. She is the gold medalist at the 2019 BWF World Junior Championships in the girls' singles.

The boys' singles of the tournament 2022 BWF World Junior Championships is an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best boys' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament will be held from 24 to 30 October 2022 in the Palacio de Deportes de Santander, Spain. The defending champion was Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand, but he was not eligible to participate this year.
