Until end of May, most anime series and television dramas had their production suspended due to the pandemic's massive impact on Japanese television since COVID-19 interrupted the production of television series for several weeks to ensure safety of various people who have been involved the previous process of filming.

January 20Anime creator Shoji Kawamori is named chief creative officer of the Small Worlds theme park. [1]
February 14Voice actress and singer Yui Ogura announced that the 'Valentine's Day Party' event had its visitor policy changed due to the spread of the coronavirus. [2]
August 4Animation studio Arms Co., Ltd., formerly Dandelion, Triple X (when working on various hentai titles) and Garyū Studio, closes after being filed for bankruptcy in July 22. [3]

Shinichi Chiba, known internationally as Sonny Chiba, was a Japanese actor and martial artist. Chiba was one of the first actors to achieve stardom through his skills in martial arts, initially in Japan and later before an international audience.

Mamoru Miyano Japanese actor

Mamoru Miyano is a Japanese actor, voice actor and singer. He is best known for his roles on Steins;Gate, Durarara!!, Death Note, Soul Eater, Wolf's Rain, Ouran High School Host Club, Ajin: Demi-Human, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Free!, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Hunter x Hunter, Chihayafuru, Bungo Stray Dogs, Uta no Prince-sama and Zombieland Saga. He was nominated for the award for Death Note at the 1st Seiyu Awards and won the "Best Voice Actor" award at the 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair. At the 2nd Seiyu Awards, he won "Best Lead Actor Award" for his role as Setsuna F. Seiei in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and as Hakugen Rikuson in Kōtetsu Sangokushi. His debut single, "Kuon", was released at King Records. In March 2009, his debut album Break was released.

Yoshimasa Hosoya is a Japanese voice actor and narrator. He graduated from Tokyo Announce Gakuin Performing Arts College then joined Mausu Promotion Actor Training Center in 2002 and signed on with Mausu Promotion in 2006. He is currently a freelancer.

Natsuki Hanae is a Japanese voice actor from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with Across Entertainment.

Rina Endō is a Japanese child actress. She is represented by Theatre Academy. Besides acting in television dramas and movies, she also acts on stage and is active in voice acting. She has also appeared in several commercials. In 2012, she became one of the Ueno Zoo's Panda Ambassadors and served as a captain.

Susumu Takita, known by the stage name Yūsuke Takita, was a Japanese actor. He was born in Kitazawa, Setagaya, Ehara, Tokyo Prefecture. He formerly belonged to Gekidan Haiyūza.

Katsumasa Uchida was a Japanese actor. He is most famous for playing villains and appeared in many jidaigeki and detective television dramas as a guest. Uchida graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University. In1968, he joined Yukio Mishima's Roman Gekijo Theatre Company. Uchida made 68 appearances as a guest on Mito Kōmon.

Yukihiro Nozuyama is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Rush Style. His hometown is in Osaka.

Shijuro Ogata Japanese banker

Shijuro Ogata was a Japanese banker. He served as Director and as Vice President of the Development Bank of Japan. He was married to United Nations diplomat Sadako Ogata.

Yui Fukuo is a Japanese voice actress and basketball player associated with 81 Produce. She is best known for voicing Linze Silhoueska in In Another World with My Smartphone and Yui Akitsuki in Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club and has won two Seiyu Awards.

Hisashi Katsuta was a Japanese actor and voice actor. He is best known for his voice-over portrayal of Professor Ochanomizu in three anime adaptations of the Astro Boy franchise, and also voiced Dr. Hoshi in Astroganger (1972–1973), Professor Tobishima in Groizer X (1976–1977), and Shin'ichirō Izumi in Tōshō Daimos (1978–1979).
