Jannik Sinner won the title, defeating Stefano Travaglia in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4. He saved a match point against Karen Khachanov in the semifinal.

Rafael Nadal defeated the two-time defending champion Kei Nishikori in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the singles title at the 2016 Barcelona Open. It was Nadal's record-extending ninth title at the Barcelona Open and his 49th clay court title, equaling Guillermo Vilas' record for the most titles on clay.
Lloyd Harris was the defending champion but chose not to defend his title.
Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic in the final, 1–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2020 Cincinnati Masters. With the win, he claimed his record-equaling 35th Masters 1000 title, and completed the double career Golden Masters. Djokovic became the first new singles titlist on the ATP Tour since its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
Three-time defending champion Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 6–0, 6–2, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2020 French Open. It was his record-extending 13th French Open title and 20th major title overall, equaling Roger Federer's all-time record of men's singles titles. For the fourth time in his career, Nadal won the title without dropping a set during the tournament; for the first time in French Open history, neither the men's nor women's singles champions lost a set. Nadal also became the first player, male or female, to win 100 matches at the French Open and only the second man, after Federer at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, to win 100 matches at the same major. Djokovic was attempting to become the first man in the Open Era to achieve the double career Grand Slam.
Daniil Medvedev defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the final, 6–4, 6–7(4–7), 6–4 to capture the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Open 13 Provence.
Aslan Karatsev won his first ATP Tour singles title, defeating Lloyd Harris in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Dubai Tennis Championships. Karatsev became the second wildcard in the tournament's history to win the men's singles title. Harris was the first qualifier to reach the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Hubert Hurkacz defeated Jannik Sinner in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Miami Open. Hurkacz claimed his first Masters 1000 singles championship and became the first Pole to win a Masters 1000 singles title.
Rafael Nadal defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–4, 6–7(6–8), 7–5 to win the singles title at the 2021 Barcelona Open. Nadal saved a championship point en route to his record-extending 12th Barcelona Open title and 61st ATP Tour singles title on clay. It became the second tournament at which Nadal had earned 12 or more victories, after the French Open. At three hours and 38 minutes, the final match was at the time the longest best-of-three-set tour-level final ever recorded since the ATP began tracking statistics in 1991, until the 2023 Cincinnati Masters final. Tsitsipas, who had also lost to Nadal in his first career ATP singles final at this tournament in 2018, was in contention to win his first ATP 500 tournament title on his seventh attempt.
Benoît Paire was the defending champion from when the event was last held in 2019, but chose to participate in Geneva instead.
Cameron Norrie defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili in the final, 3–6, 6–4, 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Briton to win the title. Basilashvili became the first Georgian to reach a Masters-level final since Alex Metreveli in 1968, and the first to do so while representing Georgia as an independent nation.
Hubert Hurkacz and John Isner defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–4 to win the men's doubles title at the 2022 Miami Open. Isner completed the Sunshine Double, having won the title at Indian Wells alongside Jack Sock. He became the first player to achieve the Sunshine Double in men's doubles since Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in 2016.
Nick Kyrgios defeated Yoshihito Nishioka in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Washington Open. It was his second Washington title, following 2019. Kyrgios saved five match points en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Frances Tiafoe. He also did not drop serve during the tournament.
Félix Auger-Aliassime defeated Sebastian Korda in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 European Open. It was his second title in as many weeks and third career ATP Tour singles title overall.
Novak Djokovic defeated Sebastian Korda in the final, 6–7(8–10), 7–6(7–3), 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2023 Adelaide International 1. He saved a championship point en route to his 92nd ATP Tour singles title, equaling Rafael Nadal's tally for the fourth-most men's singles titles in the Open Era.
Daniil Medvedev defeated Jannik Sinner in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Miami Open. It was his fifth career ATP Tour Masters 1000 title, fourth title of 2023, and 19th career title overall. He became only the eighth man to win a fifth Masters title.
Andrey Rublev defeated Holger Rune in the final, 5–7, 6–2, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title. 19-year-old Rune became the first teenager to reach the Monte-Carlo Masters final since Rafael Nadal in 2006.
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Barcelona Open. He did not lose a single set in the entire tournament.
Jannik Sinner defeated Alex de Minaur in the final, 6–4, 6–1 to win the men's singles title at the 2023 Canadian Open. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title and eighth ATP Tour singles title overall.
Jannik Sinner defeated the defending champion Daniil Medvedev in the final, 7–6(9–7), 4–6, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Vienna Open. It was his tenth ATP Tour singles title.
Novak Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Paris Masters. It was his record-extending seventh Paris Masters title and record-extending 40th Masters title overall, and he extended his winning streak to 18 matches with the win.
