Botic van de Zandschulp Dutch tennis player (born 1995)

Botic van de Zandschulp is a Dutch professional tennis player. Van de Zandschulp has a career high ranking of world No. 29 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on 16 May 2022. He is the current Dutch No. 1 men's singles player. He also has a career high doubles ranking of world No. 226, first achieved on 7 March 2022. Van de Zandschulp has won one ATP Challenger singles title in Hamburg and one ATP Challenger doubles title in Alphen.

Dominic Thiem was the defending champion, but chose to compete in the Laver Cup instead.

Karen Khachanov was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Andreas Seppi.

Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic in the final, 1–6, 6–3, 6–4, to win the men's singles title at the 2020 Cincinnati Masters. With the win, he claimed his record-equaling 35th ATP Masters 1000 title, and completed the career Golden Masters for a second time. Djokovic became the first new singles titlist on the ATP Tour since its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The 2021 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament is a men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is taking place at the Rotterdam Ahoy arena in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, between 1 and 7 March 2021. It is the 48th edition of the Rotterdam Open, and part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the 2021 ATP Tour. The tournament also included a Men's Wheelchair Tennis Singles and Doubles draw.

Aslan Karatsev won his first ATP Tour singles title, defeating Lloyd Harris in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Dubai Tennis Championships. Karatsev became the second wildcard in the tournament's history to win the men's singles title. Harris was the first qualifier to reach the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Alexander Zverev defeated Matteo Berrettini in the final, 6–7(8–10), 6–4, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was Zverev's fourth ATP Masters 1000 title, his first since winning Madrid in 2018, and his 15th career ATP Tour singles title overall. Berrettini was in contention to become the second Italian to be crowned a Masters 1000 champion in his first final at this level.

Rafael Nadal defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 7–5, 1–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Italian Open. It was his record-extending 10th Italian Open title and record-equaling 36th Masters 1000 title overall. Nadal saved two match points in his third round match against Denis Shapovalov en route to the title. This was also the fourth time that Nadal had won a tournament on 10 or more occasions, making him the only tennis player with the feat.

Daniil Medvedev won the title, defeating Reilly Opelka in the final, 6–4, 6–3. It was his fourth ATP Masters 1000 title and 12th career title.

Alexander Zverev defeated Andrey Rublev in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2021 Cincinnati Masters. It was his fifth ATP Tour Masters 1000 title and 17th career singles title on the ATP Tour.

It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Briton to win the title. Basilashvili became the first Georgian to reach a Masters final since Alex Metreveli in 1968, and the first player to do so representing Georgia as an independent nation.

Thanasi Kokkinakis defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the final, 6–7(6–8), 7–6(7–5), 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Adelaide International 2. It was his maiden ATP Tour title, and he won it in his hometown of Adelaide.

Félix Auger-Aliassime defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–4, 6–2. It was his maiden ATP Tour title, following eight runner-up finishes in prior finals.

Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. He became the sixth player to win consecutive titles at the Monte-Carlo Masters in the Open Era. The win also earned him his second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title overall.

Holger Rune defeated Botic van de Zandschulp in the final by retirement, 3–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Bavarian International Tennis Championships. It was his maiden ATP Tour title, and he became the first Dane to win an ATP title since Kenneth Carlsen at 2005 Memphis.

Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–0, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Italian Open. It was his sixth Italian Open title and record-extending 38th Masters 1000 title overall. Djokovic did not lose a set during the tournament, and won his 1000th tour-level career match by reaching the final. It was the first title he won in 2022.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated the defending champion Alexander Zverev in the final, 6–3, 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Madrid Masters. Alcaraz also became the first man to defeat Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in the same clay court tournament, which he did in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
