The 2022 Skyexch SLC Invitational T20 League is a Twenty20 cricket tournament took place in Sri Lanka from 8 to 15 August 2022. [1] All the matches were played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, in Colombo. The series was used as preparation for 2022 Asia Cup and the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Four teams took part, with the top two sides playing each other in the final. [2]

In the final, SLC Reds beat SLC Blues by 7 wickets to win the tournament. [3] Kusal Mendis was named the player of the match in the final and Asitha Fernando was named the player of the series.

2018 SLC T20 League Cricket tournament

The 2018 SLC T20 League was a domestic Twenty20 cricket tournament that was held in Sri Lanka, between 21 August and 2 September 2018. Four teams took part in the tournament: Colombo, Dambulla, Galle and Kandy. The Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and the R. Premadasa Stadium hosted all the matches.

Kamil Mishara is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in February 2022.

The West Indies cricket team toured Sri Lanka in February and March 2020 to play three One Day International (ODI) and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The full schedule for the tour was confirmed by Sri Lanka Cricket on 21 January 2020. The West Indies last toured Sri Lanka in October and November 2015.

The 2019–20 Premier League Tournament was the 32nd season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy. The tournament started on 31 January 2020 and was originally scheduled to conclude on 12 April 2020. Fourteen teams took part in the competition, split into two groups of seven. Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club were relegated at the end of the previous tournament, with Lankan Cricket Club replacing them in this tournament after they gained promotion from Tier B. Colombo Cricket Club were the defending champions.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Sri Lanka in January 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured England in June and July 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. On 4 June 2021, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) named a 24-man squad to tour England. However, the tour was initially thrown into doubt the next day, when 38 players signed a statement refusing to sign tour contracts with SLC. After an agreement was reached with the players, SLC confirmed that the tour would go ahead as planned.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Australia in February 2022 to play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. In May 2021, Cricket Australia confirmed the fixtures for the tour. In January 2022, Cricket Australia updated the tour schedule, to reduce the risks of COVID-19 by minimising travel across the country.

The Pakistan cricket team toured Sri Lanka in July 2022 to play to play two Test matches against the Sri Lankan cricket team. The Test series formed part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. In April 2022, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the series would be taking place. Originally, the tour was also going to include three One Day International (ODI) matches, but these were cancelled in May 2022, as they were not part of the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed in June 2022. Pakistan last toured Sri Lanka for a Test series in June and July 2015. On 17 July 2022, Sri Lanka Cricket moved the second Test from the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo to the Galle International Stadium due to the economic crisis in the country.

The West Indies cricket team toured Sri Lanka in November and December 2021 to play two Test matches. Originally scheduled to be played in October and November 2022, the tour was brought forward to be played after the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The Test matches formed part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. Ahead of the Test matches, the West Indies were scheduled to play a four-day warm-up game in Colombo. However, the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.

2021 SLC Invitational T20 League Cricket tournament

The 2021 SLC Invitational T20 League or Dialog Invitational T20 League was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that took place in Sri Lanka from 12 to 24 August 2021. All the matches were played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, in Kandy, and were used as preparation for South Africa's tour of Sri Lanka and the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Four teams took part, with the top two sides playing each other in the final.
