He saved three championship points en route to his maiden ATP Tour Masters 1000 title, following three previous runner-up finishes.
John Isner defeated Alexander Zverev in the final, 6–7(4–7), 6–4, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2018 Miami Open. It was Isner's maiden Masters 1000 title, and he became the first new Miami Open champion in nine years.
Jiří Lehečka is a Czech professional tennis player. Lehečka has a career high ATP singles ranking of World No. 37 achieved on 6 February 2023. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of World No. 214 achieved on 7 March 2022. Lehečka has a career high ITF junior combined ranking of No. 10 achieved on 11 March 2019. Roger Federer defeated the defending champion John Isner in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2019 Miami Open. It was Federer's fourth Miami Open title, his 28th and final Masters singles title, and his 101st career singles title overall.
Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic in the final, 1–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2020 Cincinnati Masters. With the win, he claimed his record-equaling 35th Masters 1000 title, and completed the double career Golden Masters. Djokovic became the first new singles titlist on the ATP Tour since its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
Novak Djokovic defeated Diego Schwartzman in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2020 Italian Open. It was his fifth Italian Open title and record 36th Masters 1000 title overall. Djokovic entered his 287th week as world No. 1 following the tournament.

It was his record-extending ninth Australian Open title and his 18th major title overall. With his fourth round win against Milos Raonic, Djokovic joined Roger Federer as only the second man with 300 or more match wins in major singles competitions.

It was Zverev's fourth Masters 1000 title, his first since Madrid 2018, and his 15th career ATP Tour singles title overall. Berrettini was in contention to become the second Italian to be a Masters 1000 champion.
Félix Auger-Aliassime defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–4, 6–2. It was his maiden ATP Tour singles title, following eight runner-up finishes in prior finals.

Andrey Rublev defeated Jiří Veselý in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was Rublev's tenth career singles title. Veselý entered the tournament ranked as the world No. 123, and was the lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament's history.
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. It was his first Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Spaniard to win the title. The victory also made Alcaraz, at 18 years and 333 days old, the youngest men's singles titlist in Miami Open history, and the youngest Masters 1000 champion since Rafael Nadal at the 2005 Monte Carlo Masters. Ruud became the first Norwegian to reach a Masters 1000 final, and the first Scandinavian since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.
Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. He became the sixth player to win consecutive titles at the Monte-Carlo Masters in the Open Era. The win also earned him his second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title overall.
The 2022 Serbia Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 6th edition of the tournament and was classified as an ATP Tour 250 event on the 2022 ATP Tour. The event took place in Belgrade, Serbia, from 18 to 24 April 2022.
Holger Rune defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 7–5 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Paris Masters. It was his maiden Masters 1000 title, and he saved three match points en route, in the first round against Stan Wawrinka. Rune made his top-10 debut in the ATP rankings with the win, and he defeated five top-10 players en route to the title. This was Rune's fourth final in a row, and his third title. He became the second teenager to win a Masters 1000 title in the 2022 season, after Carlos Alcaraz at Miami and Madrid. Rune was the first Scandinavian to win a Masters 1000 title since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.
Novak Djokovic defeated Sebastian Korda in the final, 6–7(8–10), 7–6(7–3), 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2023 Adelaide International 1. He saved a championship point en route to his 92nd ATP Tour singles title, equaling Rafael Nadal's tally for the fourth-most men's singles titles in the Open Era.
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Indian Wells Masters. He did not drop a set en route to his third ATP Tour Masters 1000 title and eighth career title overall. With the win, he usurped Novak Djokovic for the ATP No. 1 ranking, who was unable to enter the United States due to being unvaccinated for COVID-19. With this victory, Alcaraz ended Medvedev's 19-match winning streak.
