The 2023 Italian GT Championship was the 32nd season of the Italian GT Championship, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the Italian Automobile Club (Automobile Club d'Italia). The season started on 5 May at Misano [1] [2] and ended on 29 October at Imola. [3] [4] The Sprint Cup championship was won by Jens Klingmann and Bruno Spengler, [5] with the GT3 PRO-AM championship being won by Philippe Denes and Dmitri Gvazava, GT3 AM was won by the duo of Massimo Ciglia and Guiseppe Fascicolo, Gilles Stadsbader won the GT Cup PRO-AM, and the GT Cup AM was won by Vincenzo Scarpetta. The Misano World Circuit is a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico in the frazione of Santa Monica-Cella. Originally designed in 1969 as a length of 3.488 km (2.167 mi), it hosted its first event in 1972. In 1993, the track length was increased to 4.064 km (2.525 mi).
The Italian GT Championship is an Italian sports car series founded in 2003 and organized by the Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) and the Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (CSAI). It replaced a previous supercar-based championship which ran from 1992 until 2002 when it was folded due to a lack of entrants. The series borrowed heavily from the international FIA GT Championship in its first few seasons, although additional entries from Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Supercup, and Maserati Trofeo competitors were allowed.

New for 2024 is the separation of the GT Cup field into two different divisions, Division 1 for Ferrari Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo cars and Division 2 for Porsche Cup Cars.
