The 2013 season was Brann's 27th consecutive year in Tippeligaen and their third full season with Rune Skarsfjord as their manager. They participated in the Tippeligaen, finishing 8th, and the Cup where they reached the Third Round before defeat by Adeccoligaen side Mjøndalen.
The 2014 season was Sogndal's fourth consecutive season in the Tippeligaen. They finished the season in 15th place, being relegated to the OBOS-ligaen, whilst also reaching the Fourth Round of the Norwegian Cup where they were beaten by Viking.
The 2016 season was Strømmen's 7th consecutive year in OBOS-ligaen and their second with Espen Olsen as manager.
The 2016 season is Sogndal's first season back in the Tippeligaen since their relegation at the end of the 2014 season.
The 2017 season will be Stabæk's fourth season back in the Eliteserien following their relegation in 2012, their 21st season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Stabæk finished the previous season in fourteenth place and survived the relegation play-offs against FK Jerv.
The 2017 season is Sogndal's second season back in the Eliteserien since their relegation at the end of the 2014 season.
The 2017 season is Strømsgodset's eleventh season back in Eliteserien since their promotion in the 2006 season.
The 2015 season was Sogndal's first season back in the OBOS-ligaen following their relegation at the end of the 2014 season. They finished the season as Champions, whilst also reaching the Third Round of the Norwegian Cup where they were defeated by Hønefoss.
The 2019 season was Sandefjord's first season back in the OBOS-ligaen following their relegation from the Eliteserien in 2018.
The 2019 season is Brann's fourth season back in Eliteserien since their relegation at the end of the 2014 season.
The 2020 season was Viking's 2nd consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 70th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. The club participated in the Eliteserien and the UEFA Europa League. The Norwegian Cup was cancelled.

The 2024 season was Vålerenga Fotball's 111th season in existence and the club's first in the Norwegian First Division since 2001, following their relegation at the end of the 2023 season. In addition to the domestic league, Vålerenga Fotball participated in this season's edition of the Norwegian Football Cup.
