Ethiopia was one of 28 nations to send a delegation to the 1968 Summer Paralympics in Tel Aviv, Israel from November 4 to 13, 1968; two Ethiopian athletes competed, both of them men. Abraham Habte and Negatu each took part in both athletics and table tennis events. The team did not win any medals at these Games and, as of the 2010 Winter Paralympics, no Ethiopian athlete has won a medal at either the Summer or Winter Paralympics.

Russell Luke Short, OAM is an Australian legally blind athlete, who has competed at eight Paralympics from 1988 to 2016 and won six gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the Games. He competes in discus, javelin, and shot put.

T35 is a disability sport classification for disability athletics' running competitions. It includes people who have coordination impairments such as hypertonia, ataxia and athetosis. This includes people with cerebral palsy. The classification is used at the Paralympic Games. The corresponding F35 classification includes club and discus throw, shot put, and javelin.

T52 is disability sport classification for disability athletics. People in this class have good shoulder and upper body control, but lack fine motor skills in their arms and hands. They have no to limited trunk and leg function. The class includes people with a number of different types of disabilities including spinal cord injuries. Similar classifications are T51, T53 and T54.

Tonga participated in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from August 29 to September 9, 2012. Their participation marked their fourth consecutive Summer Paralympics appearance since their début at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney. Tonga was represented by the Tonga National Paralympic Committee, and was one of the 45 participating countries that sent only a single athlete. Tonga has always sent only a single athlete from Sydney 2000 to London 2012. Tonga National Paralympic Committee sent a delegation of three people, including one athlete. The sole athlete to represent the nation was ʻAloʻalo Liku, who participated in javelin and discus throw. Liku was the country's flag-bearer during the Games' opening ceremony. Tonga did not win a medal at these Games, however Liku finished with seasonal bests in both the events.

Kenya competed at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona, Spain. 15 competitors from Kenya won 2 medals, 1 gold and 1 bronze to finish 41st in the medal table. 13-year-old Mary Nakhumica made her Paralympic debut, winning Kenya's only gold in the women's javelin throw THW7 event.

He represented Italy at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the silver medal in the men's discus throw F11 event. He represented Italy at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in the discus throw and shot put events, winning two bronze medals.

Marián Kuřeja is a Slovak Paralympic athlete competing in F51-classification club throw and discus throw events. He is a two-time bronze medalist in the men's club throw F51 event at the Summer Paralympics.
