Tim Pütz is a German professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 7 on 29 August 2022, and has won ten doubles titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2024 ATP Finals with Kevin Krawietz, becoming the first all-German pair to win the title. Pütz won the 2023 French Open in mixed doubles alongside Miyu Kato and was a finalist with Kevin Krawietz at the 2024 US Open. He has also reached the semifinals at the 2023 Wimbledon. In singles, he has a career-high ranking of world No. 163, achieved in February 2015, reaching the second round at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships.

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori defeated Taylor Townsend and Donald Young in the final, 7–6(7–0), 7–5 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2024 US Open. Errani and Vavassori saved a match point en route to the title, in the first round against Robert Galloway and Shelby Rogers. Errani and Vavassori became the first all-Italian pair to win the title, with Errani becoming the first Italian woman to win the title since Raffaella Reggi in 1986. This tournament marked Young's final professional appearance.
Kateřina Siniaková and Taylor Townsend defeated defending champion Hsieh Su-wei and her partner Jeļena Ostapenko in the final, 6–2, 6–7(4–7), 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2025 Australian Open. It was their second major title as a team, and the second major title overall for Townsend and 10th for Siniaková. Siniaková became the first woman to win 10 or more major doubles titles since Martina Hingis at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.
Olivia Gadecki and John Peers defeated Kimberly Birrell and John-Patrick Smith in the final, 3–6, 6–4, [10–6] to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2025 Australian Open. It was the first major mixed doubles title for Gadecki, and second for Peers. They saved a match point en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Zhang Shuai and Rohan Bopanna. Gadecki and Peers became the first all-Australian team to win the title since Jarmila Wolfe and Matthew Ebden in 2013. For the first time in the Open Era, and first time overall since 1967, two all-Australian pairs contested the final.
