For the 2008–09 season, Edoardo Piscopo will be returning to drive for the team, and will be joined by Fabio Onidi, a Euroseries 3000 racer. The traditional dark blue livery of the car has also been changed to a red, white and green livery. [1]

Enrico Toccacelo is an Italian auto racer with karting, GT and Formula 3000 experience. He won three F3000 events and briefly led Vitantonio Liuzzi in the 2004 championship before Liuzzi went on to win the next three races. He finished runner-up, but, unable to land a Formula One seat, raced in the World Series by Renault series in 2005. From the 2005 Turkish Grand Prix he was the third driver with Minardi, appearing in Friday practice sessions for three Grand Prix weekends.
Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN Competición, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2. The 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Netherlands was an A1 Grand Prix race, held at Circuit Park Zandvoort, Zandvoort, Netherlands. It was originally set to be the second race of the 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season, but a delay in the build schedule of the new chassis forced the race at Mugello to be moved from the season opener. The same build delay meant that only seventeen of the twenty-three A1 teams participated in the race.
