The Western Mindanao Command (abbrv. as WESTMINCOM) is the Armed Forces of the Philippines' unified command in charge of the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the BARMM. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggresion, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency. It is also one of the government organizations advocating the "Culture of Peace" in Mindanao.

Hermogenes Cendaña Esperon Jr. is a retired Philippine Army general serving as the National Security Adviser in the Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggresion, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency. It is also one of the government organizations advocating the "Culture of Peace" in Mindanao.

AFP Southern Luzon Command Military unit

The Southern Luzon Command is the Armed Forces of the Philippines' unified command in charge of the Calabarzon and Mimaropa but excludes the Palawan and Bicol region. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggresion, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency.

AFP Northern Luzon Command Military unit

The Northern Luzon Command is the Armed Forces of the Philippines' unified command in charge of the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon, including the Scarborough Shoal and the Benham Rise. It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggresion, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency.

National Capital Regional Command (Philippines) Military unit

The National Capital Regional Command, known officially as the NCRCom or NCRC, is one of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' former Wide Support Commands Combating Terrorism-Insurgency and act as support units to the Philippine National Police-National Capital Region in maintaining peace and order within Metro Manila. They also support SoLCom in anti-dissidence operations in Cavite and Laguna.

It is responsible for the defense of these areas against external aggresion, as well as combating terrorism and insurgency. It was formerly known as the Central Command (CENTCOM) before being effectively renamed on 11 August 2021 based on the approved memorandum from the Department of National Defense.

Alexander Yano 38th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

Alexander Badong Yano is a retired Philippine Army general who served as the 38th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the highest position in the AFP hierarchy. His Vice Chief of Staff was Lt. Gen. Cardozo M. Luna and his Deputy Chief of Staff was Lt. Gen. Rodrigo F. Maclang. Alexander Yano also served as the commander of the Philippine Army and Southern Luzon Command. He is also the first general born from Mindanao

The 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, also called the Agila Division, is one of the Philippine Army's infantry units in Mindanao.

8th Infantry Division (Philippines) Military unit

The 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, known officially as the Storm Trooper Division, is one of the Philippine Army's Infantry units in the Visayas and under the AFP Central Command, combating local communist insurgent units, and terrorists.

Ricardo David

Ricardo A. David, Jr is a former Chief of staff of the Philippine Armed Forces. He was the Armed Forces Northern Luzon Command chief. On June 30, 2010, President Benigno Aquino III picked David as his AFP chief. On July 2, 2010, Ricardo David assumes the command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines from Lt Gen. Nestor Z Ochoa. He currently serves as the Undersecretary for Defense Policy of the Department of National Defense.

Gregorio Pio Punzalan Catapang, Jr., CCLH is a retired Filipino general who served as the 45th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He was the Vice Chief of Staff prior to his appointment as head of the armed forces. He was also the former head of the AFP Northern Luzon Command and 7th Infantry Division. He is part of the Philippine Military Academy Dimalupig Class of 1981. He was part of the Reform the Armed Forces Movement.

General Cirilito Elola Sobejana is a retired Filipino General who served as the 55th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and a known recipient of the Philippines' highest military award for courage, the Medal of Valor. He served as commander of the AFP Western Mindanao Command from June 28, 2019, to August 4, 2020 and Chief of the Army from August 4, 2020, to February 4, 2021. He served as the former commander of the 6th Infantry Division in 2018, and the Joint Task Force Sulu in 2017. He was chief of staff of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in 2013.

Carlito Galvez Jr. Filipino government official and former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

Carlito Guancing Galvez Jr. is a retired Philippine Army general serving as the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process since 2018 in the Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte. Since March 2020, he has also been serving as the Chief Implementer of the Philippines' Declared National Policy Against COVID-19. In November 2020, he was appointed as the country's COVID-19 Vaccine Czar, and was responsible for leading the government's efforts in bringing into the country about 245.23 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines as of May 2022 beginning in 2021 despite the global vaccine shortage. He previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines from April to December 2018.

11th Infantry Division (Philippines) Military unit

The 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, also called the Alakdan Division, is one of the Philippine Army's infantry units in Mindanao. Currently still forming, the Division is expected to complete its equipment and manpower requirements by 2022. It is the youngest of all the infantry divisions of the Army and will have 4,500 troops when fully formed.

Felimon Santos Jr. Filipino army general (born 1964)

Felimon Talusan Santos Jr. is a retired Filipino general who served as the former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Prior to his appointment, he served as the commander of the AFP Eastern Mindanao Command, and the 7th Infantry Division. He is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy "Sinagtala" Class of 1986.

General Jose Calingasan Faustino Jr. is a Filipino general officer who served as the 56th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines before his mandatory retirement on 12 November 2021. Prior to his post, he served as the Commander of the Joint Task Force Mindanao, the acting-Commanding General of the Philippine Army, the AFP Eastern Mindanao Command, and the 10th Infantry Division.
