The ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems is a peer-reviewed scientific journal established in 2014 by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). It disseminates research findings, best practices concerns, and discussions and debates on risk- and uncertainty-related issues in the areas of civil and mechanical engineering and related fields. The journal covers risk and uncertainty issues in planning, design, construction/manufacturing, utilization, decommissioning and removal, and evaluation of engineering systems. The journal has wide coverage to all sub-disciplines of civil and mechanical engineering and other related fields, including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, construction engineering, transport engineering, coastal engineering, nuclear engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering including gas, oil and chemical, ocean engineering, hazard analysis including climate change, earthquake engineering, associated resilience and sustainability, mechanics, mechatronics, robotics, thermodynamics, human factors, and thermo science.
Professor Bilal M. Ayyub from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Maryland College Park, established the ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems in 2014 in coordination and consultation with an advisory board representing leaders from ASCE and ASME, with the first issue being published in March 2015. As of 2018, it is the only joint journal for both societies with another society in their respective long histories. ASCE and ASME registered the two parts as separate journals as Part A and Part B, respectively, to facilitate the production of the journal along other journals offered by the respective societies. Both journals have the same editorial board and leadership and produced their first quarterly issues at the end of first quarter of 2015. Both Part A and Part B are listed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index by Clarivate Analytics, formerly Thomson Reuters, and it is eligible for indexing in 2018. [4] From 2016 onward, all articles are included in Web of Science. They are included also in Scopus. The current Impact Factor of Part A is 1.926. based on the latest Journal Citation Reports released by Clarivate Analytics. [5]

It also publishes technical notes, book reviews, and forum discussions. Though the journal is based in the United States, articles dealing with subjects from around the world are accepted and published. The journal requires the use of the metric system, but allows for authors to also submit their papers in other systems of measure in addition to the SI system.

Bilal M. Ayyub is a researcher in risk analysis and reliability engineering. He has been a professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) since 1983, and is also the director of the Center for Technology and Systems Management at its A. James Clark School of Engineering.
ASCE Library is an online full-text civil engineering database providing the contents of peer-reviewed journals, proceedings, e-books, and standards published by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Library offers free access to abstracts of Academic journal articles, proceedings papers, e-books, and standards as well as many e-book chapters. Access to the content is available either by subscription or pay-per-view for individual articles or chapters. E-books and standards can be purchased and downloaded in their entirety. Most references cited by journal articles and proceedings papers in the library are linked to original sources using CrossRef. Linking provides researchers with the ability to link from reference citations to the bibliographic records of other scientific and technical publishers’ articles. ASCE also offers librarians usage statistics which are compliant with the COUNTER Code of Practice for Journals and Databases. All articles are in PDF and many journal articles are also available in HTML format.

The Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that covers both basic research on magnetism and technological applications including magnetic recording. Jan Drewes Achenbach was a professor emeritus at Northwestern University. Achenbach was born in the northern region of the Netherlands, in Leeuwarden. He studied aeronautics at Delft University of Technology, which he finished with a M.Sc. degree in 1959. Thereafter, he went to the United States, Stanford University, where he received his Ph.D. degree in 1962. After working for a year as a preceptor at Columbia University, he was then appointed as assistant professor at Northwestern University.
The Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that covers the fundamentals of engineering science and its application to the solution of challenges and problems in engineering. The journal obtained its current name in 1989 when it was split off from the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. It is published by SAGE Publications on behalf of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The editor-in-chief is J.W. Chew.
Vibrational Spectroscopy is a bi-monthly peer reviewed scientific journal covering all aspects of Raman spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and near infrared spectroscopy.
