A Medio Vivir (English:Half Living) is the third studio album by the Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin,released by Sony Discos and Columbia on September 12,1995 (US).
The album has sold over three million copies,worldwide. [2] [3] That number includes 1.3 million copies sold in Europe. [4]
A Medio Vivir was released at first in Latin America in 1995. It peaked at number eleven on the Top Latin Albums in the US. Five songs from this album charted on the Hot Latin Songs,including "María" and "Volverás",which both peaked at number six,"Te Extraño,Te Olvido,Te Amo" which reached number nine,"Nada es Imposible" (number twenty-three) and "A Medio Vivir" (number thirty-six). The album was certified 6×Platinum in Argentina.
In 1996,"María" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States,and peaked at number eighty-eight. The album has sold 287,000 copies in the US [5] and was certified Gold by the RIAA for shipping 500,000 copies. The same year,"María" charted in Spain and Finland,and A Medio Vivir followed peaking inside top ten in both countries. It was certified 4×Platinum in Spain and Gold in Finland.
However,the real international breakthrough came in 1997,when "María" became a hit all over Europe. A Medio Vivir debuted on the charts in various countries,peaking inside top ten in France and Belgium Wallonia. It was certified Platinum by the IFPI,after selling one million copies in Europe. It was certified Platinum in France [6] and Belgium and Gold in Switzerland.
After the success of "María","Te Extraño,Te Olvido,Te Amo" was released as the second international single. It peaked inside top ten in France and Belgium Wallonia. "Volverás" was released as the third single and peaked at number forty-eight in France. "Corazón" was released in Finland reaching number twenty.

Ricky Martin is the first English album and fifth studio album by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. It was released on May 11, 1999, by Columbia Records. Following the release of four Spanish-language albums, and the huge success of his fourth studio album, Vuelve (1998), Martin announced the recording of his first English language album. He worked with producers KC Porter, Robi Rosa, and Desmond Child to create the album. Musically, Ricky Martin consists of dance-pop tracks, power ballads, mid-tempo pop songs, and rock numbers. After the album's release, Martin embarked on the worldwide Livin' la Vida Loca Tour, which was the highest-grossing tour of 2000 by a Latin artist.
Laundry Service is the fifth studio album and first English-language album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, globally released on 13 November 2001 by Epic Records. After her fourth studio album Dónde Están los Ladrones? became a success in Latin America, Spain, the Middle East and the Latin community in the United States, Shakira was encouraged by American singer Gloria Estefan to record songs in English as she believed her friend had the potential to cross over into the English-language pop market. Shakira was hesitant at first, but then decided to learn English well enough to write songs in the language. The title of the album reflects Shakira's views on love and music. It was released as Servicio de Lavandería in Hispanic regions in January 2002. Laundry Service is primarily a pop rock record but it also experiments with Andean music, dance-pop, Middle Eastern music, rock and roll and tango music. The album's theme is love and romance. Every song on it was written and produced by Shakira under the guidance of Emilio Estefan.
La Historia is the first compilation album of the Puerto Rican singer and composer Ricky Martin. It was released on February 27, 2001, by Sony Discos and Columbia Records. The recordings are in Spanish. The album contains reworkings of two of Martin's early songs: "Fuego Contra Fuego" and "El Amor de Mi Vida". The compilation was released in two different formats. The CD edition contains sixteen of his best songs, in the American and Japanese version, the song "Sólo Quiero Amarte" is included. The DVD edition contains thirteen music videos of Martin.
