Puerto Rican recording artist Ricky Martin has released ten studio albums, [1] seven compilation albums, two live albums, one soundtrack album and four box sets. Martin has sold over 70 million records, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. [2] His self-titled debut studio album was released in November 1991 by Sony Discos. Two years later, Columbia Records released Martin's second studio album, Me Amaras . Despite both albums failing to achieve a significant commercial success, they pushed Martin towards superstar status in many Latin American countries. [3] His third studio album, A Medio Vivir , was released in September 1995 by Sony Latin. The album features a "harder rock edge style" than his previous efforts, while being mixed with Latin references such as flamenco and cumbia. [3] A Medio Vivir charted in several countries and peaked at number seven in Spain [4] and number 11 on the US Latin Albums chart. [5]
In 1998, Martin released his fourth studio album, Vuelve , which became his first record to chart on the US Billboard 200 chart, peaking at number 40; [6] it became the highest-selling Latin album of 1999 and is the tenth bestselling Latin album of all time in the country as of October 2017 [update] . [9] He released his fifth studio and second eponymous album in 1999; it was a commercial success reaching number one in Australia, [10] Finland, [11] Spain [4] and in the United States, [6] and number two in the United Kingdom. [12] It was certified seven-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting shipments of over seven million copies in the United States. Ricky Martin is the fifth studio album and first English album by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. It was released on May 11, 1999, by Columbia Records. Following the release of four Spanish-language albums, and the huge success of his fourth studio album, Vuelve (1998), Martin announced the recording of his first English language album. He worked with producers KC Porter, Robi Rosa, and Desmond Child to create the album. Musically, Ricky Martin consists of dance-pop tracks, power ballads, mid-tempo pop songs, and rock numbers. After the album's release, Martin embarked on the worldwide Livin' la Vida Loca Tour, which was the highest-grossing tour of 2000 by a Latin artist.
7 is the third English studio album and seventh studio album overall released by Enrique Iglesias. The album was released on 25 November 2003. Coming off from the massive success of his 2001 release Escape that established him as one of the most important and biggest selling Latin figures of the music industry worldwide alongside Ricky Martin and Shakira. None of its singles cracked the Billboard Hot 100, though the second and last single "Not in Love" was a moderated hit in Europe. The album received mixed reviews, with critics comparing it negatively with his 2001 album saying it did not live up to the expectations that Escape had created. After this album, Enrique took a three-year break from music business.

The recordings are in Spanish. The album contains reworkings of two of Martin's early songs: "Fuego Contra Fuego" and "El Amor de Mi Vida". The compilation was released in two different formats. The CD edition contains sixteen of his best songs, in the American and Japanese version, the song "Sólo Quiero Amarte" is included. The DVD edition contains thirteen music videos of Martin.
