Acanthogorgia is a genus of gorgonian corals within the family Acanthogorgiidae, which belongs to the subclass Octocorallia and the order Alcyonacea (now considered part of Malacalcyonacea) is a genus of corals belonging to the family Acanthogorgiidae. [1] [2] [3]
