Alantsilodendron is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It belongs to the mimosoid clade of the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. [2] It contains nine species, which are endemic to Madagascar. [1]

Entada is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, in the mimosoid clade of the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It consists of some 30 species of trees, shrubs and tropical lianas. About 21 species are known from Africa, six from Asia, two from the American tropics and one with a pantropical distribution. They have compound leaves and produce exceptionally large seedpods of up to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) long. Their seeds are buoyant and survive lengthy journeys via rivers and ocean currents, to eventually wash up on tropical beaches.

Baudouinia is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It includes six species which are all endemic to Madagascar. It belongs to the subfamily Dialioideae.

Viguieranthus is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It belongs to the mimosoid clade of the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It includes 18 species of trees and shrubs native to Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. 17 species are endemic to Madagascar, and one also extends to the Comoros. Typical habitats are tropical lowland and submontane humid forest and seasonally-dry woodland, thicket, and scrubland.

Gagnebina is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae. It belongs to the mimosoid clade of subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It includes five species native to the islands of the Western Indian Ocean – Aldabra, Comoros, Madagascar, and Mauritius.

Lemurodendron is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It contains a single species, Lemurodendron capuronii, a tree endemic to Madagascar. It belongs to the mimosoid clade in the subfamily Caesalpinioideae.

Pseudoprosopis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae. It includes seven species of shrubs, lianas, or small trees native to tropical Africa. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Dalbergieae</span> Tribe of legumes

The tribe Dalbergieae is an early-branching clade within the flowering plant subfamily Faboideae. Within that subfamily, it belongs to an unranked clade called the dalbergioids. It was recently revised to include many genera formerly placed in tribes Adesmieae and Aeschynomeneae and to be included in a monophyletic group informally known as the dalbergioids sensu lato. The members of this tribe have a distinctive root nodule morphology, often referred to as an "aeschynomenoid" or "dalbergioid" nodule.

The tribe Sophoreae is one of the subdivisions of the plant family Fabaceae. Traditionally this tribe has been used as a wastebasket taxon to accommodate genera of Faboideae which exhibit actinomorphic, rather than zygomorphic floral symmetry and/or incompletely differentiated petals and free stamens. Various morphological and molecular analyses indicated that Sophoreae as traditionally circumscribed was polyphyletic. This led to a re-circumscription of Sophoreae, which resulted in the transfer of many genera to other tribes. This also necessitated the inclusion of two former tribes, Euchresteae and Thermopsideae, in the new definition of Sophoreae. Tribe Sophoreae, as currently circumscribed, consistently forms a monophyletic clade in molecular phylogenetic analyses. The Sophoreae arose 40.8 ± 2.4 million years ago.

Denisophytum is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae. It belongs to subfamily Caesalpinioideae and tribe Caesalpinieae. It includes eight species, which have a disjunct distribution – northern Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean, southern South America, the Horn of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and Madagascar.
