Almalu (Persian : المالو‎, also Romanized as Ālmālū)^[1] is a village in Zeri Rural District, Qatur District, Khoy County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 913, in 203 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Zeri Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Qatur District, Khoy County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,513, in 1,729 families. The rural district has 11 villages.

Qutur District is a district (bakhsh) in Khoy County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 24,407, in 4,339 families. The District has one city: Qatur. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Qatur Rural District and Zeri Rural District.
