Alt-y-Craig railway station (later renamed Allt-y-Graig) was an unstaffed halt on the Dyserth branch line. Like Woodland Park further down the line, passengers would have had to access the station from a hill. The only piece of railway history that remains here is the bridge that people now walk on.

The branch line to Dyserth was opened by the LNWR in 1869, initially for mineral traffic only. A passenger service was instituted in 1905 but lasted only until 1930, when it was withdrawn by the LMS. The line remained open to serve a quarry at Dyserth until complete closure in 1973. [4]

Bingham Road railway station

Bingham Road railway station was in Addiscombe, Croydon on the Woodside and South Croydon Joint Railway. It was opened on 1 September 1906 on the south side of Bingham Road, with two wooden platforms without buildings and was closed on 15 March 1915 as a wartime economy measure. A new station on the south side of Bingham Road was opened in 1935 and finally closed in 1983. The modern Addiscombe tram stop is situated on the opposite side of the road junction from Bingham Road station.

Abermule railway station

Abermule railway station served the village of Abermule in Wales. Served by the Oswestry and Newtown railway, it was situated on the English border. Until 1956 it was the junction for the short branch to Kerry, which had a passenger service until 1931 but was largely built for the local timber traffic.

Croft Spa railway station was a railway station serving the settlements of Croft-on-Tees and Hurworth-on-Tees in County Durham, England.

Dyserth branch line was a short standard-gauge mineral railway between the northern end of the Clwydian Range at Dyserth and the North Wales Coast Line at Prestatyn. The line, which was opened by the London and North Western Railway in 1869, was built to carry quarried stone and coal. The rise of tourism led to the introduction of a passenger service in 1905. Basic halts were introduced along the line. However, competition from road transport led the passenger service being withdrawn in 1930. With the eventual demise of all the mineral industries around Dyserth the entire line was closed in September 1973.

Meliden railway station

Meliden railway station served the mining village of Meliden, Flintshire, Wales, on the Dyserth branch line. It was used as a way of shipping minerals from the nearby quarries at Dyserth to Prestatyn. The branch line to Dyserth was opened by the LNWR in 1869, initially for mineral traffic only. A passenger service was instituted in 1905 but lasted only until 1930, when it was withdrawn by the LMS. The line remained open to serve a quarry at Dyserth until complete closure in 1973. Since closure the Prestatyn to Dyserth railway has become a nature walk. All that remains is the loading gauge and goods shed.

Prestatyn Chapel Street railway station

Prestatyn Chapel Street railway station was the first stop on the Dyserth branch line. It was the only station on the line to have a level crossing. It is also unique because pieces of track have been built into the ground as a feature of historical interest. The platform and signs have long gone, but a remaining piece of railing would have been there to separate the road and the railway.

Woodland Park was an unstaffed halt on the Dyserth branch line in North Wales.

Dyserth railway station

Dyserth railway station served the village of Dyserth, Flintshire, Wales. It was the southern terminus of the 2 miles 70 chains (4.6 km) Dyserth branch, most of which is now a public footpath. At its peak Dyserth had passengers in the thousands. In 1930 the line and station closed for passengers in the face of road competition. At one point fourteen trains a day had shuttled along the line. Although the station has long been demolished, a crane from the station has been installed at the end of the walk as a feature of historical interest, as have two pieces of track at Chapel Street.

St. Melyd Golf Links railway station

St. Melyd Golf Links railway station was a stop on Dyserth branch line. Passengers would have to access from the Gwaenysgor facing side of the golf course. All that remains here is a post that has long overgrown with foliage. This post was probably used to bear the station name.

West Leigh and Bedford railway station

The West Leigh and Bedford railway station served the hamlet of Crankwood, the village of Abram, and the Plank Lane area of Leigh, England. Like many railways, the line passed between rather than through communities, with branches off to serve the key driver - goods, and in this area - coal.

Padarn Halt was a passenger only railway station located in Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales, on the western shore of Llyn Padarn. It opened on 21 November 1936 and closed on the outbreak of the Second World War. The line through the station remained in use for excursions until 1962 and for freight until 1964; it was lifted in 1965.

Coombe Road railway station Former railway station in Croydon, south London

Coombe Road was a railway station on the Woodside and South Croydon Joint Railway in London. When it was closed it was owned and managed by British Rail.
