Alverstone Garden Village is a housing estate built between the 1930s and the 1970s; entirely contained within Youngwoods Copse, and thus almost invisible from the older hamlet of Alverstone. At the 2011 Census the Post Office indicated that the population was included in the civil parish of Newchurch, Isle of Wight.
Transport is provided by Wightbus route 23, which runs through the estate on its way between Newport and Shanklin. [1]

St Lawrence is a village on the south side of the Isle of Wight, in southern England. It is located to the west of Ventnor and many consider it a part of that town. St Lawrence is situated on the Undercliff, and is subject to frequent landslips. The village is a 1+1⁄2-mile (2.4 km) strip along the coast next to the English Channel, nearby bays include: Woody Bay, Mount Bay and Orchard Bay. The area of the village is around 329 acres (133 ha) in size.
The River Yar on the Isle of Wight, England, rises in a chalk coomb in St. Catherine's Down near Niton, close to the southern tip of the island. It flows across the Lower Cretaceous rocks of the eastern side of the island, through the gap in the central Upper Cretaceous chalk ridge of the Island at Yarbridge, then across the now drained Brading Haven to Bembridge Harbour in the northeast.

Newchurch is a village and civil parish on the Isle of Wight. It is located between Sandown and Newport in the southeast of the island. Anthony Dillington, owner of the Knighton Gorges Manor in Newchurch wrote to his son Robert in 1574 that, "This is the very Garden of England, and we be privileged to work in it as Husbandmen......." Newchurch obtained its name from the new church built in 1087 by the Norman monks of Lyra. The Newchurch Parish for many centuries stretched from the north to south coasts of the Island; by the early Nineteenth Century the growing resort towns of Ventnor and Ryde were included within its boundaries. The present day parish includes Newchurch Village, Apse Heath, Winford, Whiteley Bank, Alverstone, Alverstone Garden Village, Queen's Bower, Princelett and Mersley.
Mount Jo is a 2876-foot mountain in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of New York. It is in North Elba, New York on land owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club. The Adirondack Loj and Heart Lake are at the foot of Mount Jo. There are two trails that lead to its summit.
Chillerton is a village between Newport and Chale in the Isle of Wight in southern England. Chillerton is in the middle of a farming community. The appropriate civil parish is called Chillerton and Gatcombe.
MarinaBlue, also known as Marina Blue, is a skyscraper in Miami, Florida, United States. It is located in northeastern Downtown, on Biscayne Bay along the west side of Biscayne Boulevard. The tower was one of the first buildings in Park West to be completed. Built by Hyperion Development, the developers of another building named Blue on the Bay further uptown, the building finished construction in May 2007. Marinablue is located across the street from the American Airlines Arena. The building rises 615 feet (187 m), and has 57 floors. Marinablue is almost all-residential, with some retail and office space on the lower floors. The building was opened to residential occupancy since the spring of 2008. The building currently stands as the 9th-tallest in Miami and the 10th-tallest in Florida, as well as the 5th-tallest residential building in the city and the state.
Winford is a hamlet on the Isle of Wight, that since the 1950s and in particular in the late 1970s has seen considerable housing development. The local shop in Forest Road closed some time ago, but tourist attractions with gift shops are situated nearby. It is in the civil parish of Newchurch.
Alverstone is a village 2 miles from the east coast of the Isle of Wight, near Sandown. When Richard Webster became Chief Justice of England in 1900, he chose the title Lord Alverstone because it was the title he was permitted to choose which was "closest" to Sandown, one of his favourite locales. Alverstone Manor is located here.

Queen's Bower is a hamlet on the Isle of Wight, England that has effectively merged with Winford and Apse Heath to create a village. It is classed as part of Sandown, with the postcode PO36. It is in the civil parish of Newchurch, Isle of Wight. Transport is provided by Southern Vectis bus route 8 to Sandown, which stops at Hairpin Bend on Alverstone Road once every hour throughout the day, which is right on the perimeter of Borthwood Copse.

Westridge is an area on the edge of Ryde on the Isle of Wight, based on the road junction of Westridge Cross. Its location on the outskirts of the largest town on the Island, around 1+1⁄2 miles from Ryde town centre, has led to the development of a number of out-of-town commercial and industrial units. A large Tesco Extra store in the area on the site of the former Ryde Airport. A garden centre has been developed opposite the Tesco Store and a golf centre to the other side. There is a long-established garage at Westridge Cross and another adjacent to the site of the former airport terminal building. Public transport is provided by Southern Vectis buses on route 3. Wightbus also provide route 20 to the Tesco store.
Moortown is a part of Brighstone on the west side of the Isle of Wight. The area is known as the Back of the Wight. Previously, the only form of public transport to pass through the village is infrequent Wightbus service 36, connecting the village with Newport and Brighstone. However, this service was discontinued by the Council in September 2011.
