Ampliotrema is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Graphidaceae. [1] The genus was originally described invalidly in 2004, [2] and validly two years later. [3]

He is known as an authority on the family Parmeliaceae. During his long career at the Arizona State University, he helped develop the lichen herbarium into a world-class collection with over 100,000 specimens representing more than 5000 species. In 2010, the year of his retirement, he was awarded the Acharius Medal for lifetime achievements in lichenology, and the following year had a Festschrift published in his honor.

Trinathotrema is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Stictidaceae. It has three species. The genus was circumscribed in 2011 by Robert Lücking, Eimy Rivas Plata, and Armin Mangold, with Trinathotrema stictideum assigned as the type species. The genus name is an imperfect anagram in honour of American lichenologist Thomas Nash III, combining the letters -tho, -na, and -tri. Although most members of the Stictidaceae have chlorococcoid green algae as their photobiont partner, Trinathotrema associates with a trentepohlioid photobiont.
