Angelina Ballerina

Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps is a CGI preschool animated children's television series and the successor of the Angelina Ballerina television series from 2001 to 2006; both series are in turn based on the Angelina Ballerina series of children's books by author Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig. [1] The series first aired on 5 September 2009 on PBS Kids in the United States.

Contents

The Next Steps is different from the first TV series as it uses CGI animation. The series features songs with music by Mark Sayer-Wade, Scott Erickson and Mark Williamson and lyrics by Judy Rothman, Williamson and Erickson, as well as several songs written and arranged by Barney & Friends composer, Joseph K. Phillips. Richard M. Sherman is the music director of the series.

Overview

The series celebrates music and songs and brings to life many forms of dance for Angelina including ballet, tap dancing, jazz, classical, and ethnic. As a ballerina, Angelina's life revolves around dancing, singing and performance, family, friends, friendship, and following her dreams. This series sees 8-year-old Angelina and her family move to the other side of Chipping Cheddar to attend a performing arts school called Camembert Academy. It features the debut of Ms. Mimi, Angelina's new teacher and new friends like Viki, Marco, Gracie, and A.J., as well as her best friend Alice who joins Camembert Academy. [2]

Titeuf is a French comic series created by Swiss comic book creator Zep in 1992, which was adapted into a 2001 animated TV series and a 2011 film of the same name. It also appears in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine Tchô!.

<i>Growing Up Creepie</i> Animated television series

Growing Up Creepie is an animated television series created by Anthony Gaud, Chris Woods, and Carin Greenberg, and produced by Mike Young Productions. In other countries, the series was simply titled Creepie. The series premiered on September 9, 2006, and concluded on June 21, 2008, airing one season of 26 episodes.

A total of 52 episodes were produced; in the United States, they were packaged as 26 half-hours.

<i>Skunk Fu!</i> Animated television series

Skunk Fu! is an Irish-British animated action adventure fantasy comedy television series featuring the fables and adventures of anthropomorphic animals protecting their valley using martial arts. The show chronicles the adventures of young Skunk, training with his Kung Fu master, Panda, with the support of Rabbit, Fox, Turtle, and others, who directly, or inadvertently, also help Skunk grow. The show won the IFTA award for "Best Animation". In addition to an English soundtrack, Irish-language, French-language, Japanese-language, and Dutch-language soundtracks were initially produced.

Angelina Ballerina is a British animated preschool children's television series based on the Angelina Ballerina series of children's books by author Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig. The series is about a young mouse named Angelina Mouseling who loves dancing ballet, her family, and her classmates. Finty Williams performed the voice of Angelina and her mother Judi Dench performed the voice of Miss Lilly.

Ballerina is a 2016 3D animated musical adventure comedy film co-directed by Éric Summer and Éric Warin and written by Summer, Carol Noble and Laurent Zeitoun. A co-production between Canadian and French companies, the film takes place in 1880s France and follows an orphan girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina and gets a chance to audition for the celebrated school of the Paris Opera Ballet.

<i>Polly Pocket</i> (TV series) 2018 TV series

Polly Pocket is a 2D-animated adventure fantasy children's television series based on Mattel's doll of the same name. It features Polly having a magical locket that allows her and her friends to shrink down to tiny sizes.
