Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse (also known as Edouard et Martin for the French dub in Quebec) is a Canadian children's animated television series co-produced by Nelvana and Hong Guang Animation for Teletoon (now as "Cartoon Network") and PBS Kids. Among the series' executive producers are Michael Paraskevas and Betty Paraskevas, creators of Maggie and the Ferocious Beast , [2] who also created the book that the show is based on. It tells the stories of a young horse named Marvin who is part of a carnival. [3] Some episodes include original songs to help illustrate the theme or accompany montages that carry the story forward.

In Canada, it aired on Teletoon (now as "Cartoon Network"). In China, it aired on CCTV3. The show aired on PBS Kids in the U.S. as a part of the Bookworm Bunch from 2000 until 2004. Three years later, now-defunct Qubo aired the show until 2020. In the United Kingdom, the show also aired on Tiny Pop. In the mid-2000s, Our Time Family Entertainment released the show on both VHS and DVD. All of the show's episodes were officially released onto YouTube on Treehouse TV's channel. As of 2023, the show is now streaming on Tubi.

Maggie and the Ferocious Beast is a Canadian animated children's television series created by Michael and Betty Paraskevas. The program was based on the 1996 book The Ferocious Beast with the Polka-Dot Hide and its sequels, which were also written by the Paraskevas. Two years later, the show started off as a series of shorts aired on the Canadian channel Teletoon in 1998. The first full-length episode premiered on Nick Jr. on June 5, 2000, in the U.S. and on Teletoon on August 26 in Canada. The series ran for three seasons, airing its final episode on June 9, 2002.

John Callahan's Quads! is an adult cartoon produced by Nelvana. It was created by and based upon the work of John Callahan, who also created another Nelvana-produced cartoon, Pelswick. The show aired on Teletoon at Night in Canada, SBS in Australia, and in Latin America on Locomotion and Adult Swim. The show never aired in the United States; however, the series was released on YouTube in 2018. Michael Paraskevas is an American illustrator, cartoonist, and animation producer best known for co-creating along with his mother Betty in the Canadian animated children's television series Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. The show was based on the 1996 book The Ferocious Beast with the Polka-Dot Hide and its sequels, all of which were also created by the Paraskevases. Together, they authored 20 children's books. and created three animated series: Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse, and The Kids from Room 402. They also produced and created The Tangerine Bear as a direct-to-video Christmas special.
