Classification

The T54 classification is for wheelchair athletes with strong arm and torso movement, who have an impairment in their legs. Athletes have fast acceleration, can maintain top speed and maintain their pushing speed while steering. [3]

Nathan Maguire is a British wheelchair racer. Athiwat Paeng-nuea is a Paralympic athlete from Thailand who competes in category T54 sprint events. He represented Thailand at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and won a gold medal in the 100 metres T54 event and a silver medal in the 400 metres event.

The men's 100 metres T11 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, took place between 1 and 2 September 2021.

The Men's 100m athletics events for the 2024 Summer Paralympics will take place at the Stade de France from 30 August to 7 September, 2024. A total of 16 events will be contested over this distance. T11 and T12 events will be hosted over three rounds, to accommodate sighted guides, while the T51 event will be held as a straight final. All other 100 metre events will consist of a first round and a final.
