The men's 400 metres at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships is held at the QEII Stadium on 22-23 and 26–29 January
Zac Shaw is a British Paralympic visually impaired sprinter who competes in the T12 classification. At the age of nine he became afflicted with stargardt disease. He made his first Great Britain squad for the IPC Athletics World Championships in 2015 . Shaw made the Great Britain squad for the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris after just missing out on both the 2016 Summer Paralympics and 2020 Summer Paralympics.
The T/F 11 categorisation of athletics events, for athletes with the highest level of visual impairment. at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, take place at the Rio Olympic Stadium from September 8. A total of 19 events are contested in the classifications for which T/F11 athletes are eligible. This includes a number of T/F12 events in which T/F11 athletes are entitled to compete.

Athletes in this category will generally have some residual sight, the ability to recognise the shape of a hand at a distance of 2 metres and the ability to perceive clearly will be no more than 2/60. T12 athletes commonly run with guides.
The women's 200 metres T47 event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, took place on 7 September 2024. The T47 category is for athletes who have a single below elbow or wrist amputation or similar disability, with normal function in both legs.
