There is only one known species, Aubregrinia taiensis native to West Africa (Ghana, Liberia, Ivory Coast). [2] [6]
The genus name of Aubregrinia is in honour of both André Aubréville and François Pellegrin (Aubréville, Pellegrin). [7]
