Banani Railway Station is a railway station located in Banani, Dhaka District, Bangladesh. No intercity trains stop at the platformless Banani railway station except for certain number of mail express. But from now all intercity train tickets are sold in advance. [1] [2]

The Blue Mountains Line (BMT) is an inter urban commuter rail service operated by NSW TrainLink serving the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia. The line travels west from Sydney to the major town of Katoomba and on to Mount Victoria, Lithgow and Bathurst. Mount Victoria is the terminus for most electric services, but some services terminate at Lithgow instead. Two express services per day in each direction, known as the Bathurst Bullet, extend to the regional city of Bathurst, which is supplemented by road coaches connecting Bathurst to Lithgow. Due to electrification limits at Lithgow, the Bathurst Bullet is run using the Endeavour railcars, which operate on diesel. The Blue Mountains Line operates over a mostly duplicated section of the Main Western line. As such, the tracks are also traversed by the Central West XPT, Outback Xplorer and Indian Pacific passenger services and by freight trains.

Madhupur–Giridih–Koderma line is a 138 km (86 mi)-long single 5 ft 6 in broad gauge track from Madhupur town in Deoghar district to Koderma town in Koderma district via Giridih town in Giridih district of Jharkhand state. It is an extended route of Madhupur–Giridih railway line. The Koderma–Maheshmunda section falls under Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway and Giridih–Madhupur section under Asansol Division of Eastern Railway. The construction of 110 km (68 mi) rail line from Koderma to Maheshmunda was done under supervision of Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway.
The NSW TrainLink D sets, also referred to as the Mariyung trains, are a class of electric multiple units (EMU) being built to replace NSW TrainLink's Intercity EMU fleet. The trains will operate on services from Sydney to Newcastle, Lithgow and Kiama, allowing the retirement of NSW TrainLink's V set fleet, and freeing the H set fleet for reallocation to Sydney suburban services.
Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan intercity railway or Changzhutan intercity railway, is a higher-speed regional railway in Hunan, China. It connects the provincial capital Changsha with Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. The line was opened to traffic on December 26, 2016. A northwestern extension to Changsha West railway station opened on December 26, 2017. The maximum operating speed is expected to be up to 200 km/h (124 mph), travelling time between the three cities will be shortened to less than 30 minutes. The line uses China Railways CRH6F regional rail trains.

Suborno Express is an intercity train of Bangladesh Railway which runs between Dhaka and Chittagong. Suborno Express has been considered one of the prestigious trains since it is considered the first luxurious non-stop train in the country. The train connects the capital Dhaka with Port City Chittagong of Bangladesh.
Upaban Express is an intercity train running from Dhaka to Sylhet under Bangladesh Railway. Upaban Express was inaugurated on 4 May 1988. Three other intercity trains, Parabat Express, Jayantika Express and Kalni Express run on this route.
The Hangzhou–Haining Intercity Rail, also known as the Hanghai line, is a line connected to, but operated independently of the Hangzhou Metro that connects the cities Hangzhou and Haining in Zhejiang, China. The total length is 48.18 km (29.94 mi) and has 13 stations, including 5 underground stations and 8 elevated stations and number of stations with passing loops for express services. The line began construction in late 2016 and opened on 28 June 2021.
Dhaka–Jessore line is a 172 km long under construction broad gauge railway. It is being constructed under the Ministry of Railways, Government of Bangladesh. The line will connect the capital of Bangladesh to Jessore via Dhaka District, Narayanganj District, Munshiganj District, Shariatpur District, Madaripur District, Faridpur District, Gopalganj District, Bangladesh, and Narail District. It is a project related to Padma Bridge.
The Rapid Pass is a smart card automated fare collection system used on participating public transit systems in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Rapid Pass card readers were implemented on a trial basis in 2017. Full implementation began in January 2018 and it was rolled out across rapid transit stations, railway stations, bus stops and terminals, and transit vehicles on many different transit systems.
