The Kuril Flyover is the third largest flyover in Bangladesh and is located in Dhaka. Its foundation stone was laid on 2 May 2010. [1] [2] [3] Finally the work started in March 2011. [4]

The flyover was opened for traffic on 4 August 2013. [1]

Airport Road, also known as Tongi Division Road, a part of the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway (N3), is an 8-lane major artery road in Dhaka, that connects Dhaka city, with the Shahjalal International Airport. It is also the main artery that connects Dhaka with the northern suburb of Uttara and the only road that connects Dhaka with northern Districts of Bangladesh and vice versa. Traffic is fairly smooth throughout the road, due to flyovers and interchanges.

The Bahaddarhat Flyover collapse occurred on 24 November 2012 when steel girders collapsed in the suburb of Bahaddarhat in Chittagong, Bangladesh, killing seventeen people. It was 7:30 pm local time, when suddenly three girders fell down from a flyover (overpass) during construction. The government of Bangladesh announced that sixteen people died at the scene and over fifty people were injured.
