Pragati Sarani is a major avenue in Dhaka which connects Rampura to Kuril Flyover. In 2005, the Dhaka City Corporation officially renamed it as Bir Uttam Rafiqul Islam Avenue.[ citation needed ] However, it is still widely known as Pragati Sarani today. [1] [2] [3]
Dhaka Cantonment is a cantonment located in the northern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The headquarters of the Bangladesh Army, and Air Force are situated within the cantonment which combined form the Armed Forces of Bangladesh. The Cantonment is located on the north-east end of Dhaka.

Purbachal New Town Project or formerly Purbachal Residential Model Town is the biggest planned township in Bangladesh. The project area consists of about 6,213 acres (25.14 km2) land located in between the Shitalakshya and the Balu rivers at Rupganj thana of Narayanganj district and at Kaliganj thana of Gazipur district, in the northeastern side of Dhaka. The township is linked with a fourteen-lane expressway from the Airport Road-Progati Sarani intersection in Dhaka. The Dhaka Elevated Expressway is an all-elevated toll road in Bangladesh. The 19.73-kilometre (12.26 mi) road, regarded as the country's first elevated expressway, partially opened in 2023. It connects the Dhaka airport with Farmgate area in Tejgaon, with construction ongoing to connect it with the Dhaka–Chittagong Highway. Dhaka Wanderers Club is a football team from Dhaka, Bangladesh. They are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the country. The Wanderers dominated the domestic scene during the 1950s and 60s, and were considered one of the biggest clubs in the subcontinent before Bangladesh gained independence. The Wanderers have seven domestic league titles and were also the runners-up of the Federation Cup in 1987, losing to Mohammedan SC in the finals.
