The Bangladesh national handball team is the national handball team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Handball Federation.
Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins.

The Bangladesh national football team is the national recognised football team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) since 1973 and of FIFA since 1974, even though the Bangladesh Football Federation was first founded in 1972. Bangladesh was elected as a member of the AFC Executive Committee in 1982–1986 and 1998–2002. The current Executive Committee was elected democratically, under an AFC approved constitution and direct supervision of FIFA & AFC, in October 2020.

Handball in India is controlled by the Handball Association India. It was founded by Jagat Singh Lohan from Rohtak, Haryana, who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras. His efforts during Munich Olympics helped in establishing HFI. The member states were Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Vidharbha and Jammu and Kashmir. Sheikh Kamal Stadium is a football stadium in Nilphamari, Bangladesh. It is located on the opposite of Nilphamari Government College and is occasionally used for national day parade and handball games. The stadium, built in 1984, took on a new look after huge renovation works were completed in 2018 with approximately Taka 14 crore being spent on building up nearly 750 square-feet of gallery, a new VIP stand, earth filling, and planting fresh grass among other tasks. The seating capacity of the stadium has been subsequently increased to 20,000. Like other public stadiums, this venue is also owned by National Sports Council (NSC) of Bangladesh, and managed by District Sports Association of Nilphamari. On 12 November 2017 National Sports Council has renamed this stadium from Nilphamari District Stadium to Sheikh Kamal Stadium after Sheikh Kamal. This is the 14th venue used for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) matches.
