They spent months recording at PWL Studios, more time than any of her previous studio albums.

However, Cruz and Minogue recorded a version of the song for the European release, while American rapper Travie McCoy recorded guest raps for the American release. The Brazilian and United Kingdom versions have parts of McCoy's rap mixed into the Minogue version. The version on Cruz's albums feature a solo vocal by Cruz with no guest vocalist and an edited version of the solo version was added to Radio Disney's playlist.

It is also Minogue's only major compilation not to include any new material or to include unreleased and rare material. This Is It: The Very Best Of is a compilation album by Australian singer Dannii Minogue released in 2013. Besides including singles from her five studio albums, the album boasts a cover of "The Winner Takes It All", recorded as a duet with Kylie Minogue in 2008 for the British sitcom Beautiful People soundtrack and "'Cos You're Beautiful", a new track Dannii recorded in 2010 with her X Factor protegee Ruth Lorenzo. Minogue signed an exclusive one-album deal with Parlophone to release Kylie Christmas, with distribution through Warner Music Group worldwide and Warner Bros. Records in the United States. A Christmas music album consisting of thirteen songs and three bonus tracks, Kylie Christmas contains both cover versions and original songs.
