Daily Qaumi Bandhan (Bengali : দৈনিক কওমি বন্ধন; lit. "national unity" [23] ) was a Bengali language newspaper published in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It has the reputation of being the only main Bengali newspaper in the country that catered specifically to the large Bengali community in Pakistan. [23] [24] Founded in the 1940s, the newspaper was discontinued decades later due to financial reasons. [25] It was based in the Chittagong Colony, a Bengali neighbourhood in Karachi.

United States

Akhon Samoy (Bengali : এখন সময়) is a Bengali-language newspaper published from New York, United States since 2000.

United Kingdom

Janomot was founded in London and established on 21 February 1969. It is the first Bengali weekly newspaper, the first ethnic minority newspaper in Britain and the first Bengali newsweekly published outside Bangladesh. [26]

Potrika was established in 1997. It is published every Monday for £0.50 (or for annual subscription of £82.16). It is the only broadsheet Bengali newspaper published from the UK and follows issues relating to the British Bangladeshi community, reflecting their concerns and interests. [27]

The newspaper covers news concerning the British Bangladeshi community from the UK, Bangladesh and worldwide, including coverage of business news, sports, films, health, leisure, fashion, education and environment. [27]

Bangladesh Pratidin is a Bengali-language independent daily newspaper in Bangladesh. It was founded on 15 March 2010. Bangladesh Pratidin tops the list of highest circulated dailies in the country out of 345 newspapers published from Dhaka and elsewhere, the information minister told parliament 10 March 2014. Naem Nizam is the editor of Bangladesh Pratidin. Bangladesh Pratidin is a subsidiary of East West Media Group (EWMG), which is owned by Bashundhara Group. On behalf of EWMG, the publisher of the newspaper is Moynal Hossain Chowdhury.

The Bangla Bhasha Procholon Ain, 1987 is an Act passed by the Jatiya Sangsad to give full effect to Article 3 of the Constitution of Bangladesh. The statute states all records and correspondences, laws, proceedings in court and other legal actions must be written in the Bengali language in all courts, government or semi-government offices, and autonomous institutions in Bangladesh.

Password is a 2019 Bangladeshi action-thriller film directed by Malek Afsari. The film is produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of SK Films. It features Shakib Khan as Rudra, who, through his autistic younger brother Rusho, played by Emon, comes into possession of the password to a Swiss bank account. Misha Sawdagor stars as Victor, a gangster trying to steal the password. Shabnom Bubly features as Rudra's love interest, Dr. Shabnom. The movie is loosely based on the 2010 French movie Point Blank.

Syed Salahuddin Zaki was a Bangladeshi film director, producer and film writer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Dialogue for the film Ghuddi (1980). He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2021. Zaki died in Dhaka on 18 September 2023, at the age of 77.

Misha Sawdagor, Fakhrul Bashar Masum, Saberi Alam, Don and others played supporting roles. It is produced by Enamul Haque Arman under the banner of Desh Bangla Multimedia. The film soundtrack is composed by Shafiq Tuhin.
