Tripura Bani is a Bengali language weekly newspaper that is the mouthpiece of the Tripura State Committee of the All India Forward Bloc. The weekly [1] is published from Agartala. [2] As of 1983, Tripura Bani had a circulation of 1,900 copies. [3] As of 2007 it claimed a weekly circulation of 5,895 copies. [2]

The All India Forward Bloc (abbr.AIFB) is a left-wing nationalist political party in India. It emerged as a faction within the Indian National Congress in 1939, led by Subhas Chandra Bose. The party re-established as an independent political party after the independence of India. During the 1951–1952 and 1957 Indian general election, the party was known as Forward Bloc (Marxist). It has its main stronghold in West Bengal. The party's current Secretary-General is G. Devarajan. Veteran Indian politicians Sarat Chandra Bose (brother of Subhas Chandra Bose) and Chitta Basu had been the stalwarts of the party in independent India.
Brajagopal Roy was an Indian politician. Roy was the main leader of the All India Forward Bloc in the North-Eastern state of Tripura. He was President of the AIFB Tripura State Committee and a member of the All India Secretariat of the party.

The New Indian Express is an Indian English-language broadsheet daily newspaper published by the Chennai-based Express Publications. It was founded in 1932 as The Indian Express, under the ownership of Chennai-based P. Varadarajulu Naidu and was bought by Ramnath Goenka from the monies of capitalists partner Raja Mohan Prasad and is held in trust by the current legal heirs for the family of Raja Mohan Prasad as per the trust deed given by Ramnath Goenka to Raja Mohan Prasad. Initially, the two groups shared the Indian Express title, as well as editorial and other resources.
