Ghajini is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Salem Chandrasekharan. The film stars Suriya, Asin, Nayanthara and Pradeep Rawat. Harris Jayaraj composed the soundtrack and background music, while R. D. Rajasekhar and Anthony were the film's cinematographer and editor, respectively. In the film, a once eminent businessman develops anterograde amnesia due to a head injury he sustains while attempting to save his fiancee Kalpana from getting murdered by a gangster. After that, he sets out to avenge her murder with the aid of photographs from an instant camera and permanent tattoos on his body.

Kushi is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by S. J. Suryah, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika. Mani Sharma provided the score and soundtrack. Pawan Kalyan also choreographed all the action sequences in the film. Initially begun in 1999 as a bilingual along with its Tamil version, also titled Kushi (2000), the Telugu version was delayed due to Kalyan's prior commitment to Badri (2000).

Vaaranam Aayiram is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by V. Ravichandran of Aascar Films. The film stars Suriya in the main dual lead role as father and son alongside Simran, Sameera Reddy and Ramya. The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, making Vaaranam Aayiram his last project with Menon before the formal break-up of their partnership, until they worked together again in Yennai Arindhaal (2015). The cinematography for the film was handled by R. Rathnavelu and the editing was done by Anthony Gonsalvez.

Aadanthe Ado Type is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language romance film directed by E V V Satyanarayana, starring Aryan Rajesh, Sivaji and Anita Hassanandani. It is a remake of the 2002 Tamil film Mounam Pesiyadhe written and directed by Ameer Sultan, with Aryan Rajesh, Anita, Shivaji, and Sindhu replacing Suriya, Trisha, Nandha, and Maha, respectively, who originally played the roles. The film released on 30 August 2003. There is also a dubbed Telugu version of Mounam Pesiyadhe, titled as Kanchu, which released in 2006.

Arjun Suravaram is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by T. Santhosh. The film stars Nikhil Siddharth and Lavanya Tripathi. It is produced by Rajkumar Akella, and presented by B. Madhu on the Movie Dynamix banner. Sam C. S. composed the film's music, while Naveen Nooli handled the editing and Suryaa handled the cinematography. It is a remake of the director's own Tamil film Kanithan (2016). The film released on 29 November 2019. It received positive reviews from critics and was commercially successful.

Surya Kiran was an Indian director and actor who worked in Telugu and Tamil-language films. He was known for directing Satyam. He died on 11 March 2024 due to jaundice and other complications.
