Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay is a state-aided university located in Bolpur, Birbhum, West Bengal. [1] [2] The university was established in 2020 by the Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay Act, 2017, [3] passed by the Government of West Bengal in memory of Rabindranath Tagore, the renowned poet and Nobel laureate, and aims to establish a Center of Excellence devoted to the teaching, learning and research in various branches of study. On 2021 Ex-VC Swapan Dutta announced all colleges in Birbhum district to come under Biswa Bangla Universities jurisdiction But in reality, it didn't see the light of day. [4]
Prof. Dilip Kumar Maiti, FRSC is the current Vice-chancellor of the university.
