Blooming Grove is an unincorporated community in Blooming Grove Township, Franklin County, Indiana. [1]
Blooming Grove was platted in 1816. [2] The community took its name from Blooming Grove Township. [3] A post office was established at Blooming Grove in 1832, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1906. [4]
The United States Census Bureau delineated Blooming Grove as a census designated place in the 2022 American Community Survey. [5]

Blooming Grove had 2 gas stations at one time, a grocery store Fritz grocery and a grade school that housed grades 1 through 8. The community currently still has an automotive shop. It also has the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department which opened in 1966 and is still in operation today.
