Hamburg is an unincorporated community in Ray Township, Franklin County, Indiana.
Hamburg was platted in 1864 by Wesley Martin. [3] It was named after Hamburg, in Germany. [4]
Hamburg was once a thriving Catholic community. St. Ann's Catholic Church was founded in Hamburg in 1869. The Church closed its doors in 2013 merging with Holy Family Parish in Oldenburg. [5] [6]
A post office was established at Hamburg in 1867, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1929. [7]
During the Super Outbreak on April 3, 1974 a tornado destroyed 90% of the town. [8]
Warren is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Warren borders Detroit, roughly 13 miles (20.9 km) north of downtown Detroit. The community was named for the cascade in Wappinger Creek. The Wappingers Falls post office covers areas in the towns of Wappinger, Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, East Fishkill, and LaGrange. This can result in some confusion when residents of the outlying towns, who do not live in the village, give their address as "Wappingers Falls".
