Boxing at the 1992 Summer Olympics took place in the old Pavelló Club Joventut Badalona in Barcelona. The boxing schedule began on 26 July and ended on 9 August. Twelve boxing events (all men's individual) were contested, with the participation of 336 athletes from 78 countries. [1]

The 1992 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXV Olympiad and officially branded as Barcelona '92, were an international multi-sport event held from 25 July to 9 August 1992 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Beginning in 1994, the International Olympic Committee decided to hold the Summer and Winter Olympics in alternating even-numbered years. The 1992 Summer and Winter Olympics were the last games to be staged in the same year. These games were the second and last two consecutive Olympic games to be held in Western Europe after the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, held five months earlier.

Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium formerly known as the Estadi de Montjuïc and Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc and also known in English as the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, is a stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Originally built in 1927 for the 1929 International Exposition in the city, it was renovated in 1989 to be the main stadium for the 1992 Summer Olympics and 1992 Summer Paralympics. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Barcelona since the 2023–24 season, due to the renovation of their regular ground, the Camp Nou. Arkhom Chenglai, known professionally as Issara Sakgreerin, is a Thai former professional Muay Thai fighter and amateur boxer. He is a former Lumpinee Stadium Lightweight Champion and won a bronze medal in boxing at the 1992 Summer Olympics at Welterweight.

Hocine Soltani was an Algerian boxer, who won two Olympic medals. In 1992, the southpaw placed third in the featherweight division (54–57 kg), and at the 1996 Summer Olympics he won the gold medal in the lightweight division.

Juan Carlos Lemus Garcia is a Cuban boxer, who won the gold medal in the men's Light Middleweight (71 kg) category at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Lemus also was awarded the gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games, as well as the World Amateur Boxing Championships in 1991, beating the reigning champion at that time, Israel Akopkochyan.

Toncho Dimitrov Tonchev is a Bulgarian boxer. He won the Lightweight Silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Tonchev also represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

Andreas Tews is a German former amateur boxer. Tews won the Flyweight Silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the Featherweight Gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics.

The Men's Boxing Tournament at the 1991 Pan American Games was held in Havana, Cuba from August 2 to August 18. It served as a qualification tournament for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The number one and two earned a ticket for the Barcelona Games. The host country dominated the boxing event, winning all weight divisions except for one: the Light Welterweight. Preliminary bouts were held at the new, multi-purpose Sala Polivalente Kid Chocolate, finals at Sports City Coliseum.

Jacklord Bolaji Jacobs is a Nigerian former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2003. As an amateur he represented Nigeria at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. A year later he won the silver medal at the 1993 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Tampere, Finland, where he was beaten in the final of the light heavyweight division by Cuba's Ramón Garbey.

At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, nine events in gymnastics were contested. The competitions were held from 10 August 1936 to 12 August 1936.

Anoushiravan Nourian is a retired amateur Iranian-born Australian boxer. He picked up a bronze medal in the welterweight at the 1994 Asian Games in Hiroshima, and also competed in two editions of the Olympic Games under different banners. Nourian's career had been overshadowed by a doping controversy in 2000, resulting to a ban from the Iranian boxing team at the Summer Olympics in Sydney and his emigration to Australia, where he later obtained a dual citizenship.

Ronald Chavez is a retired Filipino amateur boxer who competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics and is currently one of the coaches of the Philippine national boxing team.

The men's light flyweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1992 Summer Olympics. The weight class was the lightest contested, and allowed boxers of up to 48 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 26 July to 8 August 1992. 30 boxers from 30 nations competed.

Asghar Ali Changezi is a Pakistani professional Olympian boxer. Changezi participation in 34 National Games and is a National and International Gold medalist (Boxing).
