British Junior Open

The British Junior Open is considered the second most prestigious junior open squash championship after the World Junior Squash Championships. It is one of the five Tier 2 events in the WSF World Junior Squash Circuit. British Junior Open is divided into ten categories: Boys under-19, boys under-17, boys under-15, boys under-13, boys under-11, girls under-19, girls under-17, girls under-15, girls under-13, and girls under-11. Contents

The under-19 boys category was known as the Drysdale Cup before 1999; [2] the under-16 and under-14 categories were both held prior to 1999, until they wwee replaced by the under-15 and under-17 categories. The under-13 categories were also introduced in the same year. The tournament moved to Birmingham from 2018 onwards, where the under-11 categories were introduced. [3]

Ong Beng Hee is a Malaysian former professional squash player and coach. Between 2000 and 2006, he won four consecutive Asian Championship titles. In 2002 and 2006 he won gold medals at the Asian Games. He won 11 Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour titles out of 19 final appearances, and earned a world ranking of No. 7, a career-best. This record has made him Malaysia's most successful male squash player in history.

Sharif Khan is a Pakistani-Canadian retired professional squash player. He is widely considered to be one of the all-time great players of hardball squash. He was the dominant player on the hardball squash circuit throughout the 1970s. The Canadian Junior Open is a yearly Junior squash championship held in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. The tournament hosts nearly 300 players representing between 20 and 25 countries every year. The tournament is organized by Squash Canada and Squash Ontario.
