Britt Bager (born 16 August 1976) is a Danish politician,who is a member of the Folketing for the Conservative People's Party political party. She was elected into the Folketing in the 2015 Danish general election for the Venstre political party,but switched to the Conservative People's Party in 2021. [1]
Bager first ran in the 2015 election,where she was elected after receiving 7,306 personal votes. She was reelected in the 2019 election with 10,490 votes cast for her. [2]
In 2021 she left Venstre to join the Conservative People's Party. [3]

Although the ruling Social Democrats became the largest party in the Folketing and increased their seat count,the opposition Venstre party was able to form a minority government headed by Lars Løkke Rasmussen with the support of the Danish People's Party,the Liberal Alliance and the Conservative People's Party.

The Moderates is a liberal political party in Denmark founded by former Prime Minister and current Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen. He announced the name in a foundational speech on 5 June 2021. At the same time,he said that his main scenario was that the party would be formed after the 2021 Danish local elections. The name was,according to Rasmussen,inspired by the fictitious Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg's party Moderaterne in the hit political TV drama Borgen as well as the Swedish Moderate Party,the then–second largest party in the Swedish Riksdag. The Moderates' political position is referred to as centre to centre-right.
