Byredo is a Swedish company that produces fragrances, leather goods, and accessories. [1] [2] Byredo is a portmanteau of "By Redolence". [3] It was founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham. [4] [5] Its first collection of handbags and other accessories debuted at Paris Fashion Week in September 2017. [6]
In 2013, Gorham sold a majority stake of the company to London-based investment firm Manzanita Capital. [3] [7] This company was invested in Diptyque and Malin + Goetz, [8] and also owns Space NK. [3] In May 2022, Puig acquired a majority stake in Byredo. [9] In November 2023, Byredo launched fine jewelry as a new permanent category for the brand. [10]
Perfumer Jérôme Epinette has created some scents for the brand — Byredo. [8] In 2016 Byredo collaborated with photographers Inez and Vinoodh on a fragrance named "1996." [11] [12]
In 2018, Byredo collaborated with Off-White's Virgil Abloh on a fragrance named "Elevator Music." [13]
Byredo has also collaborated with IKEA on a home fragrance [14] [15] – releasing the OSYNLIG candle collection in 2020. [16] In 2021, Byredo launched the fragrance Space Rage in partnership with the singer Travis Scott. [17]
In March 2022, Ben Ghoram (Byredo) and Isamaya Ffrench partner to launch their first make-up collection together. [18]

This is the second brand from the venture after Material Girl, which is a fashion line designed by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes and launched in 2010. Elixir is a women's fragrance by Colombian singer songwriter Shakira, developed in a collaboration with international fashion company Puig. After the release of her first two fragrances, Puig enlisted several perfumers to work on Shakira's third fragrance, which she claimed would capture her "most sensual and exotic side." The final product was Elixir, an amber perfume based on various spicy and woody sources. The flacon of the perfume is inspired by apothecary bottles and is made to resemble a magical potion, featuring a light golden colour scheme.
Virgil Abloh was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur. He began his own line of luxury streetwear clothing, Pyrex Vision, in 2012, and became the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2013. Abloh was also the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection beginning in 2018, and was given increased creative responsibilities across the LVMH brand in early 2021.

Aedes de Venustas is a niche perfume store and fragrance line. Aedes has operated in Manhattan since 1995. The house perfume line launched in 2012, although there was an earlier collaboration with L'Artisan Parfumeur creating a home fragrance (2005) and perfume (2008) also named Aedes de Venustas.
Santal 33 is a 2011 sandalwood perfume by niche perfume line Le Labo. It was initially proposed as a personal fragrance by perfumer Frank Voelkl, but Le Labo owners Fabrice Penot and Eddie Roschi cut it from the perfume line for their 2006 launch and asked Voelkl to develop a candle and then a room spray instead, called Santal 26. By 2010 Penot and Roschi acceded to popular demand and asked Voelkl to develop a modified version as a personal perfume, Santal 33, which launched in 2011. Santal 33 quickly gained cult status, then grew into broad popularity, especially after Le Labo sold to Estée Lauder Companies and their fragrances went into much wider distribution. This development drew some disappointment from wearers who had prized its exclusivity.
D.S. & Durga is a perfumery brand founded in 2008 in Brooklyn by husband-and-wife team David Seth Moltz and Kavi Ahuja Moltz. David Seth Moltz is a self-taught perfumer. Kavi Moltz is an architect. In 2024 the brand was acquired by London-based Manzanita Capital, which also owns the fragrance line Diptyque.
