Cana Store and Post Office is a historic general store and post office building located near Mocksville, Davie County, North Carolina. It was built about 1875, and is a two-story, three-bay, frame building with a gable roof. The front facade features a broad hip-roofed frame canopy added in the 1930s that serves as a porte-cochere. Also on the property is a contributing one-story woodshed built in the 1930s. The building housed a post office until 1954 and a general store until 1965. [2]

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. [1]

The Corner Store and Office, also known as the Frogmore Emporium, Macdonald, Wilkins, and Company Store and Mark D. Batchelder Office, is a historic general store, residence and, eventually, office building located on Saint Helena Island near Frogmore, Beaufort County, South Carolina. Primarily built as a house, it was built about 1877, and is a two-story, wood-frame building with a gable roof. It features a two-story wraparound porch. The adjacent one-story house was built about 1905. The store sold provisions to the islanders, most of whom were African American, and became one of the major centers of commercial and social activity on St. Helena. The home and businesses in the building were owned by Cameron Thomas and his relatives for most of the 20th century. The family lived in the back and upstairs portion of the house, while the front included a general store and liquor store, with the small house added on used as a residence for relatives. The store also had the only gas pump on the island for many years.

The main house was built about 1880 and incorporates a small one-story residence built about 1840 that now serves as a rear wing. It is a two-story, rectangular, frame residence with weatherboard siding. It features a one-story hip roof porch that extends across the full façade. The store was built about 1870 and is located to the rear of the house. It is a 1+12-story, rectangular, hand-hewn heavy timber-frame building that served as a post office from 1873 to 1878. Also on the property are a contributing frame garage and a frame smokehouse. The house and store were built by Elihu W. Cannon (1841-1911), prominent Hartsville farmer, postmaster, and Darlington County politician.

The vernacular farmhouse was built in 1919, and consists of a 1 1/2-story, frame, center hall plan, hip-roofed main block, with a one-story frame gable-roofed ell built about 1860. Riley Everhart Farm and General Store is a historic farm and general store located near Welcome, Davidson County, North Carolina. The main house was built in 1885, and is an I-house that consists of a two-story, three bay by two-bay, brick main block with a two-story rear ell with Italianate style design elements. It has a one-story front porch and one-story porches on the ell. The Arnold General Store and Post Office is a tall, narrow two-story, three bay, frame building with a gable roof. The Anderson Brothers Store is a historic general store building at 280 Main Street in Stockholm, Maine, United States. Built in 1901, this 1+12-story wood-frame structure was the town's first general store, and is its only historic retail building. It operated until the 1950s, and now houses the Stockholm Historical Society's museum.

Grinnell Company-General Fire Extinguisher Company Complex is a historic factory complex located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1929–1930, and consists of a two-story office building and massive tall, one-story Grinnell manufacturing building. The office building is a reinforced concrete structure, with a brick veneer, a flat roof, and a parapet capped in concrete coping. The manufacturing building has a poured concrete slab foundation, brick veneered walls, a steel framing system consisting of I-beam piers and heavy Pratt truss roof, banks of continuous, steel sash windows, and large, sawtooth monitors. The complex was built for the largest manufacturer of automatic sprinklers and other fire protection products in North America.

Penland Post Office and General Store, also known as Bailey Lumber Company Office Building and Bailey Lumber Company Office and General Merchandise Store, is a historic post office and general store located at Penland, Mitchell County, North Carolina. It was built about 1900, and is a long, one-story, frame building with a front-gable roof and rough-sawn board and batten siding. The building housed the office and store of the Bailey Lumber Company from about 1900 to 1916, and a general store from about 1902 to 1974. It has housed the Penland post office since 1934 and is the oldest active post office facility in Mitchell County and is the county's last remaining Fourth Class post office.

Davis Brothers Store is a historic general store located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a two-story brick commercial building. The front facade features intact store fronts and entrances and a one-story shed-roofed canopy-like porch. Also on the property is a contributing center-passage frame storage barn dated to the 1930s.
