The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Panthers compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The team is headquartered in Bank of America Stadium in Uptown Charlotte, which also serves as the team's home field. The Panthers are supported throughout the Carolinas; although the team has played its home games in Charlotte since 1996, it played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina, during its first season in 1995.
Chris Lee Gamble is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback for nine seasons with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Thomas Antonio Davis Sr. is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for 16 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Georgia in the early 2000s, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American.
Michael James Fox is an American former professional football player who was a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the New York Giants in the second round of the 1990 NFL draft. He played college football for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Gregory Walter Olsen is an American football sportscaster and former tight end who played for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes and was selected by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. Olsen played most of his career for the Carolina Panthers, with whom he made three Pro Bowls, and became the first tight end in NFL history to record three consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. Olsen played his final season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2020. Following his retirement Olsen joined Fox as a sportscaster and is formerly the lead color commentator for the NFL on Fox.
Jeffrey Richard "J. J." Jansen is an American professional football long snapper for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He holds the record for the most games played by a Panther with 243, having held the record since Week 14 of 2022 against the Seahawks as his 222nd game. He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2008, but was never able to play a single football game as a Packer.
Matthew Francis Kalil is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the USC Trojans and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings fourth overall in the 2012 NFL draft. He was also a member of the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans.
Joshua Ricardo Norman is an American professional football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL draft. Norman has also played for the Washington Redskins, and San Francisco 49ers, and was once considered to be among the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He also participated in the celebrity dancing competition show Dancing with the Stars, finishing as the runner-up of its 26th season in 2018.
Kelvin Benjamin is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. He also played for the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.
Christian Jackson McCaffrey, known by the initials CMC, is an American professional football running back for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal and was selected by the Carolina Panthers eighth overall in the 2017 NFL draft. As a sophomore in 2015, McCaffrey was named AP College Football Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. He holds the NCAA record for most all-purpose yards in a season (3,864).
Derrick Brown is an American professional football defensive end for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Auburn Tigers where he was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, and was selected by the Panthers in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft.
Denniston Oliver "D. J." Moore Jr. is an American professional football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins, and was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. Moore was traded to the Bears in March 2023.
Brian Burns is an American professional football linebacker for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.
Chuba Robert-Shamar Hubbard is a Canadian professional football running back for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he was a unanimous All-American, named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and won the Jon Cornish Trophy in 2019. Hubbard was selected by the Panthers in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft.
Bryce Young is an American professional football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL).
