Chrysotus longipalpus is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is distributed worldwide, though it is an introduced species in much of its range. It is associated with greenhouses. [3]

More recently, it has been suggested by Pollet et al. (2004) to be a synonym of Chrysotus, but some authors maintain generic rank noting that Chrysotus is possibly paraphyletic.
